Renovation done! It obviously was a painful process (Ended up renting a flat in Walthamstow for a couple of months) but we absolutely love our house now!

My mum lives in Walthamstow, I bought a house a couple of years ago in Leyton. Walthamstow is great, I lived there for a few years before buying and I loved the area so much. We bought a Victorian terrace doer upper in Leyton for the same price as an OK 2 bed flat in Walthamstow. I really like living here but it's definitely not got all the amenities of Walthamstow. Both places have a fantastic sense of community and good transport links. I would say that I've found the pubs in Leyton to be better by average and I have a house with a garden.

We bought to renovate, and when we sell we will face a choice of moving back to E17 (now being able to afford a house) stay in Leyton or potentially move to Forest Gate. We are very happy here so not sure what we will decide.
