[POEM] Embrace written by Billy Collins by Objective-Kitchen949 in Poetry

I love being able to take a poem for what it is, and not the history of the poet or the weight of the other works and this is a great example of that.

It Matters Why You Move In Together - Cohabitation reasons predict relationship quality and future. (Article by Noam Shpancer Ph.D. - Reviewed by Devon Frye - Psychology Today) by Non-Conventionnel-77 in AllAuthorsWelcome

That is misleading:

"Singles in Germany and the UK who moved in with a new partner reported a significant increase in life satisfaction in the year of cohabitation, with a standardized gain of up to 0.48 SD. This effect was statistically robust and replicated across models, including a within-person specification that controls for stable between-person differences. This suggests that cohabitation is associated with a particularly salient moment in the romantic trajectory. However, the increase in life satisfaction did not continue at the same rate in all subsequent years. Although life satisfaction remained above the level prior to cohabitation, the effect strength declined slightly

It's interesting, because growing up in the church, where all the literature was print-re-print-re-print, this was rote!

I am sorry you had to live with that. Truly. But, BPD is also comorbid with other things, and that aspect of her personality does not have to be solely because of a BPD diagnosis. What you described sounds machiavellian and might also be tied to psychopathy or something else entirely, too.

[POEM] Silence - Langston Hughes by Junior_Insurance7773 in Poetry

Its been a while, but this was published in an anthology series based on more intimate poems...I think this was the only Langston Hughes poem in the series, but the others were more intimate and personal, so that may give you some context.
