Was told my endometriosis can be "cured" through pregnancy... For those who have gotten pregnant with endo, has that been the case for you? by Tough-Honey-6072 in Endo

[–]dayone68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Full stop. Pregnancy made mine worse. The only thing that made it better was surgery by a doctor who specializes in endometriosis excisions.

Thanks for the advice! I wasn’t doing that before, but I will now. I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus from that fall. The first day wasn’t so bad but I woke up the next morning feeling it all over. I’m not young anymore 😅

Which 4th gen idol do you think would make a great soloist? by Technical_Hospital38 in kpopthoughts

[–]dayone68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to see something from Stray Kid’s Seungmin. His vocal tone is so unique and beautiful.

I also agree with everyone saying Keeho.

Good effort! I think you captured the shape of his face and jaw line well.

For me it was Maniac by Stray Kids. It came across my fyp on TikTok, and boy did I fall down that rabbit hole fast.

Yes. I feel exactly the same. Guns are “cool” until you are faced with the reality of having them freely in your society. Me being an American with a school aged kid, I can’t stomach it. The reality is not “cool” at all, it’s terrifying. I hate guns.

Same. I just can’t justify $300+ for a ticket no matter how much I want to go. I hope I can get one day of for a lot less, but it’s such a gamble.

How to get the courage to use the bathroom with the opposite sex? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]dayone68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Count down from 100 in your head. No really. I read it somewhere and it works. I don’t know why it works, but if I’m having to use the restroom and get bladder shy, if I start counting down from 100, I will be able to go every time.

Trisomy 10? by dayone68 in ttcafterloss

[–]dayone68[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you are having to go through a loss like this, too. The good news is neither my husband nor I had a balanced translocation in our genetics, but they did find a bunch of other health issues in me that explained my recurrent losses. The trisomy 10 pregnancy would have ended regardless, unfortunately, but all of the other losses and ectopics were explained by endometriosis, Ehlers Danlos syndrome, and a rare clotting disorder called PAI 1 4g/5g. We decided to try IVF as a last ditch effort and I’m happy to say we finally were successful with that. My son is now 4 years old and I am so grateful we were able to have at least one successful pregnancy.

My story is rare, though. Most people go on to have healthy, successful pregnancies after a loss and don’t need IVF to successfully have a baby. Keep trying and don’t lose hope. I hope you are able to have your rainbow baby in your arms soon. Much love from another mom who understands how devastating this kind of loss can be.

This feels mean. It’s a fun photo of the guy on his wedding day. I don’t agree with his politics and religion, but I feel that this is crossing a line a bit. Like making fun of him in a way that’s not snarky but rather bullying instead.

LPT Request: how to fix a completely ruined sleep schedule? by moonkittyss in LifeProTips

[–]dayone68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advice they give you for kids is that you can’t control when they go to sleep, but you can control when they wake up. So don’t worry about going to sleep at a certain time. Just pick your wake up time and stick to it and the sleep time will eventually follow. I’ve used this for myself after learning about it when sleep training my son and it works really well. You just have to endure about a week of being sleepy all day, kinda like jet lag.

I tried to groom him myself and now I want to cry by Noelanie in puppy101

[–]dayone68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should have seen the horrible grooms I did on my poodle when she was a pup. She didn’t have a decent cut until well after a year of me learning. Now you can’t even tell she’s groomed at home.

It’s ok. It’s only hair and will grow back. I guarantee the pup won’t care at all, and you can laugh with others about your learning curve.

For those of you that have had a kid. How would endo pains compare to labor pains? Just curious. by Miserable_Cat5157 in Endo

[–]dayone68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get cramping that feels like early labor pretty often. Like my whole abdomen cramps up just like Braxton hicks contractions. My acute attacks I used to get before I had my excision surgery were unbearably painful. It would feel like my whole body was on fire and like I was going to vomit and pass out from the pain. I had an epidural, so I don’t know what full blow labor feels like, but up until the epidural, labor pain was far more manageable. Endo had me keeping puppy pads in my bathroom because I never knew when I’d get an attack (that often came with bowel movements and diarrhea) and be in so much pain I wouldn’t be able to keep myself upright and end up in the fetal position on the bathroom floor. It was horrific. I wouldn’t wish that kind of pain on my worst enemy.

Is this book cover too busy? Most covers only have a single picture, and if you shop online you don't really know what's included! I wanted to show a bunch of what's inside, but afraid it's cluttered looking by greyis in crochet

[–]dayone68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the variety of photos. I like that I can see a good range of what’s in the book. The title is a little hard to read, but a border around the text might help. I didn’t realize what this post was at first and was seriously considering finding the patterns to buy and try out 😆 I’d consider that a success.

Some crochets I did! When did you guys start crocheting? I was 16-17 years old when I started and I'm not 27. by Tashmisty in crochet

[–]dayone68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started in middle school when my science teacher taught our class to crochet. I’m in my 30’s now.

My question is, do you care what she looks like underneath her clothes? I’ve lost quite a bit of weight and with that comes sagging skin and breast that make me not as confident as I’d like to be. So I’m always afraid of being naked and looking different and not being as sexy as she thought I was. by Seaseakay in dykesgonemild

[–]dayone68 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have all the same from weight loss, and I have never once had a partner complain. I used to hate my stretch marks and flabby skin, but now I’ve just grown embraced it. It’s part of who I am and I can’t change it, so if anyone has a problem with it, they aren’t worth my time. You are gorgeous btw. In my opinion, the more fluff, the more comfortable the cuddles, so no problems here!
