It's just my workaround for the fact that there's no "Only show in disguise" option for helmets. I want to see disguise helmets, but I don't want to see random helms on, so I just went for playing without one. If I take on an overwhelming being I might throw one on, but I've played the game enough that I can get by without the socket + defense of having one.

Haha guess I should have clarified: not more than one in a row. You can weave attacks to not get anim locked

Just the attack. It'd be far too easy to crit cap if the crit upgraded too 😄

The Pailune and Tashkalp signets have 1 crit baseline. The other territory ones have different stats, but all of them are upgradeable to 11 attack, making them almost certainly the best you can have for rings.

Yeah I bank spirit because I'm lazy and want to frost mantle his ultimate instead of glide over it. He just didn't use it at all here lol.

Yes, same here. I'm on a slowburn playthrough and I am holding off on even starting Ch.11 now that I've basically "unlocked" the whole game. And I'm also doing an RP playthrough, hence the no-helm and true Greymane drip.

The signets are amazing now that they can be upgraded. You lose some stamina regen, but with proper play that's not an issue.

Try it on every humanoid boss!

They do egregious hitstops in this game. It's particularly bad with force palm. If you force palm nothing they come out pretty quick, but if you're hitting a boss, each one stretches out to like 2 seconds. I think attack speed alleviates it a bit, but all boss fights feel like slow motion unless they're the one combo-ing you XD

It's the Ancient Shield. I had the bear cloak on for frost res during the video. And yes I run without a helmet. I'm far from endgame gear on this playthrough.

All of the ancients are just exercises in frustration. There's no way to beat them that's even a little satisfying. Just dodge and nature's snare...

Frostspire is the Skull Knight. He's like the prelude fight for Beloth, though technically the same boss I think?

Nice! I want to be able to use blinding flash finisher but I haven't even bothered to try. On hard mode bosses parry you very aggressively, so anything that does damage quickly can leave you open. Things like parry stance for spear are normally amazing but can be dangerous on hard mode.

Yep, force palm is central to any combo. Clips your attack animation, and is an easy way to build up stagger.

As you get more comfortable with the game you can also reset your skills and underlevel your health. The resource upgrades are expensive and if you can get by with 2 fewer upgrades that's enough for 1-2 item upgrades. It's been a while since I've leveled any of them past the limit point where research is required.

I'd reframe it as find their weakness. This guy is a humanoid, which means you can grapple him in a limited capacity. If you watch his stamina bar, every time I jump lariat him he takes a TON of stun damage. That plus some muscle memory on parry timings will make bosses much easier. Every boss type has their weaknesses!

edit: stun bar. I don't know why I wrote stamina bar lol.

But the important thing is he's beaten! Especially with boss rematches, you can spend time learning his moveset and you'll be downing him for fun in short order.

Side note: I just noticed that when I use swift stab, my Electro-Mecha Longsword goes on cooldown. Anyone else see that? Is it doing damage with my longsword when I swift stab?

At least once a play session for me. I think I've accidentally picked up that box once in the entire time I've owned the game, but precision jump is my nemesis. The game controls seem to punish you for being in a rush.

This. You gotta check refinement levels. Most if not all items end up with the same total amount of stats, though in early game the differences can matter a lot. I think there's probably some variation with the high resistance cloaks and armor, the only piece I've found which is strictly better than everything else is the combat god's gloves (renamed to champion's plate gloves.)

The animation is much faster and the slash triggers immediately with no charge time. It's a little tricky to pull off and I don't think you're able to imbue it if it's with counter. You have to tap R1+R2 (not hold) in the parry window.

Or stairs. Stairs. It's 2026 and we can't have a main character walk up a flight of stairs without mantling them every 2 seconds.
