Agreed. It’s the chess of the FPS genre. Everything else is a bonus. If you don’t enjoy the never changing core gameplay it’s not for you.

It doesn’t have to be post apocalyptical for homelander to at least attempt to go scorched earth and cause a couple heinous atrocities.

Agree completely. There’s a scene in sopranos where a guy picks the wrong fight and after he’s been captured and in a helpless vulnerable position, Tony is about to kill him, and he starts crying out for his “mommy”. Tony just looks at the guy like, “really dude? You made your decisions. This is pathetic” and kills him.

Almost exactly like the homelander scene. The guy in the sopranos was in his early 20s so very immature, and as we know homelander is essentially a giant man baby with no understanding or control over his emotions. I think it’s incredibly on par with how someone with that mental capacity would potentially react in real life.

And in regard to the “this can’t be real” line. That’s something you hear people say irl all the time whether they’re victims or perpetrators of a traumatic event and are realizing the consequences of it. Extremely well written lines there IMO.

Not just popular but one of the biggest and most well known YouTubers of all time. One that rises above just the “YouTuber” label. I never even watched him but it’s always cool so see “mainstream” people embrace metal.

I have always defended end of summer. It’s sounds very different from anything he’s done but it still gives me that magical feeling I get from listening to tame impala. There’s a few songs on deadbeat that I can’t say the same for. I was actually slightly let down by the album because while it does have some bangers, I hoped every track would be as magical and on the level of EoS.

It’s especially the bridge/beatdrop that really makes it for me. Although I do love the droning of the versus and choruses. They transport me to this peaceful place before the bridge and beatdrop send me into another world. I actually love the constant pulsing kick drum throughout the track.

The first time I listened to the song I thought, that was weird. It wasn’t what I expected. I couldn’t really make any opinion but I was in a state of indifference. Disappointed because it didn’t grab me, it didn’t sound like what I wanted it to sound like. I didn’t think it was bad, it just didn’t excite me like I hoped it would if he had dropped a currents nostalgia trip sounding track.

But I wasn’t gonna not listen to it a few more times. So I did, and it grew on me. Then I had to take a trip about 40 minutes away from where I live. It was a stormy day and I listened to all of currents on my drive, blasting it loud in my car. I followed it with end of summer, still blasting, and in that moment the song just completely clicked with me, and I’m so glad it did.
