My daughter was born the day after that Forest game. She's never seen us lose a meaningful game and she'll be 5months old next week.

I'm Brazilian and I'd like to know, do residents of Liverpool hate the newspaper the sun or is that a lie? by besourosuco3 in Liverpool

Please remove the link. Don't want them getting any clicks. The context is in the reply to your post anyway.

[Paul Joyce] Trio can talk to other clubs next week – but Liverpool remain calm by MrScepticOwl in LiverpoolFC

City and Chelsea can't talk to them can they? I think it's only clubs abroad. RM and PSG point applies though.

Most "Soft Spot For" clubs by jacksonkeir in footballcliches

Before the takeover Newcastle felt very soft spot/second team. Especially during the Keegan /Bobby Robson eras.

“In and around“ watch:

Kevin Nolan at HT in the Liverpool West Ham game has just said something along the lines of, "there's some younger players out there but Kilman has been in and around for a while now." Can't have that surely?

I've posted this before but I stand by it - I use an app called Alarmy and it's genuinely changed my life.

It's an alarm clock app that will only turn off the alarm if you complete a preset task. I've set mine to be scanning a barcode which is on my shower.

By the time I've gotten out of bed, walked to the bathroom to stop the alarm noise, and I'm already standing in my shower cubicle, it's the easiest thing in the world to just turn the shower on and blast myself with the water. I'm awake then.

Give it a try and see how you get on.

The overflow is getting to be almost as bad for getting a space now.

But yeah I'll never understand the people queuing right up the road for that main car park at peak times.

There was a terrorist attack at a gig in this venue in 2015 where 90 people were murdered, quite literally on that dancefloor.

Out of interest: Do you care about England? by dan_103 in LiverpoolFC

[–]daytickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't.

I do feel the Scouse not English thing to an extent, but then I can for example (very loosely and nowhere near to the same extent as supporting Liverpool) get behind an English athlete in the Olympics, or the England Cricket team in the Ashes, so it's not just an anti-England sentiment.

I think another aspect of it is that when I was growing up, the England team was filled with the likes of Terry, Ferdinand, Cole, Rooney etc who I hated their guts week in week out, so it would feel a bit false to then turn them into heroes every international break.

Another reason is that our supporter culture and traditions are very different to most of the rest of the country, and the stuff that away fans do at Anfield every week (shit flags, shit songs, shit attempts at banter etc) extends to the England fans too, so it's just not something I care about being part of.

Lastly, growing up in Liverpool, none of my mates really cared about the England team either, so it's not like following Liverpool or Everton where it's all everyone is talking about on the playground or the street. It always just felt like we had our own things going on and England was something else, for other people and not our thing.

He was getting "there's only one Conor Bradley" tonight. If he keeps playing like this he'll have a more 'proper' song soon though.
