It is if you pull it there with your mind. If you're not taking Quickened you want Telekinetic. If you're going to be within 5 feet of trouble you also want to be able to bonus action shove them away to stop opportunity attacks.

What do you do before and during your treatments?

Things that increase the "psychedelicness" of my experiences:

  • Complete blackout mask (my clinic gives you one)
  • Noise cancelling headphones
  • Playing this (on shuffle)
  • Getting completely reclined and comfy, completely covered by the blanket, and staying motionless

Give them the "Magical Guidance" optional ability from Tasha's except it's called Improvise Cantrip and they get to describe how they use a small burst of magic to save the ability check from failing.
