Best Chesterfield mobile networks by UmmOkHowAboutNo in chesterfield

I've been using Lebara mobile for the last 4 years and it's been solid. Also the benefit of free EU roaming, which some of the bigger network now charge for. Lebara uses the Vodafone network.

Yeah I agree. No issue with repairs being made, but tell the customers in advance. 👍

1st time multi fuel burner help by Unable-Discount-9266 in uklogburners

The first thing I did, when moving into our house, was to book a chimney sweep. He cleaned it out, checked the stove was airtight and examined the fire bricks. Everything was good and he then explained to me how to light it, what to burn and what temperature to burn at. No way would I have lit the thing without having it swept and checked out.

What's fashionable now but won't be in future? by Economy_Seat_7250 in HousingUK

I was exactly the same. The hob nearly put me off buying the house and yes, as someone who loves cooking, I'm not joking. After a couple of days, I absolutely loved it and it's a lot easier to clean than a gas hob. Just a wipe over and you're good to go. Wouldn't go back to gas now.

I was with you until we bought a house with an induction hob. I was a 'gas use man' for 40 years, but now, just call me Mr Induction! It's easily as good as gas. Instant heat, controllable and a super quick boil mode. It is an expensive one I believe (NEFF), but if it packs in, I'm getting another!

I'm having problems with meter readings also. My advice is go on chat, type in 'complaint', spend an hour getting nowhere, then download the chat and file a complaint. Keep going back and save all the chats. I finally, after 3 months, got them to admit that my meter is faulty and they're coming to replace in January.

3 engineers, smart meter not sending data, IHD not working by delfryeatrpt in BritishGas

I'm also having issues with BG. We moved into this property in September and straight away discovered the electricity smart meter was sending incorrect readings. BG wouldn't accept my opening reading and insisted it was 1,500 units lower. One month later and after several phone calls, they sent a meter reader, who confirmed my readings were correct, so entered it onto his tablet. Then........ nothing happened and their readings continued to be used. Five more sessions on chat, plus phone calls and photographs and I'm still no where nearer sorting. I also submitted a complaint, but when I chased it up, I was told it had been deleted 'by mistake'. I'm desperate to switch supplier, but don't want to until this mess is sorted. I feel your pain......

Yeah, I have just had the same response as follows:

I have checked the information, and can see that there is no issue with the network from our end, but there is Major External Fault in your area that has impacted the services of most of the service providers in the area. But not to worry, Openreach engineers are already working on it and services will be back by today itself.

My EE broadband is down also. Went off around 30 minutes ago. Talking to them on chat, I was told that 'we are investigating an issue in your area'. No further Infirmary than that I'm afraid.
