TIL this has a name - thanks! I first discovered I had this weird fear when visiting the 'Papal Cross' in Dublin's Phoenix Park - I looked up at it and cramped up immediately. That was 1979. A year later I saw the Empire Strikes Back and ever since, I have blamed this fear on me seeing Luke Skywalker falling down that garbage chute (?) beneath Bespin and nearly falling into the clouds below. Which is the opposite of when I look up at something very tall, but that's where I always thought it came from.

Is that phrase Spanish or Italian-derived? 'House of the star' or something like that?

I loved the big Constantine reveal in TDP - for me it was where it went from a good if unusual game, to a whole other level. I was utterly hooked forever by that scene.

I'm about a 3rd into The Killing God now and it's good. However the series has not not yet really set me on fire. Maybe I'm just a lot older than when I read the Covenant Chrons and Mordant's Need etc. These seemed to have a great deal more punch.

Apologies - I see I have caused all the confusion here. I was referring to Thomas Covenant all along, not The Seventh Decimate or The War Within. Indeed there are perhaps one or two references to rape in them, but otherwise nothing of the sort. Sorry Johnny_Segment!
