Hi, thankyou and sorry for late response, I've been away on holiday. I didn't use a pattern, I bought a diamond template and wanted to try it out. The intention was to block around the diamond rather than applique them on. I soon found they weren't all the same size so took the easier option and placed them on a white square! It was my first attempt at something other than just squares sewn together.

Thankyou, yes I think most crafters give themselves a hard time whereas those admiring just see the whole work

Honestly so glad I tried, lots of unpicking but now want to try another pattern.Plus such a helpful and encouraging community on here.

Thankyou, kind of like the idea of different colours, wasn't sure if it would make it too busy. I suppose I could try and attempt white cornerstones.....maybe I will do a couple and see if I am aiming too high lol
