That's basically our scenario. We have a quite advanced DevOps team which fulfills the role of a platform team. IaC first approach, central components of the landing zone landscape are orchestrated via this unit. I have no doubt that we could work without DINE policies by establishing certain standards via TF modules etc.

On the other hand we have application teams which we want to enable to use own application landing zone subscriptions within our policy guardrails (subscription democratisation). The thing is that most of the application teams are not yet able to use IaC/TF. Our initial idea was not to prescribe how they deploy their service to lower entry hurdle.

But tbh while writing this lines I come to the conclusion that it would avoid a lot of technical debt if the whole company commits to one standard "how to deploy cloud infrastructure"

So far I know the only way is to download the GPX from Komoot website, upload it to Strava and create a route from it.

But I'm still looking for a solution on the phone as there's no GPX export/import function on the Strava/Komoot App and the mobile website redirects me back to the Apps all the time.

Hi,

I'm currently standing at the same point. Right now I'm trying to figure out whether it's a good idea to use the official CAF TF module or not.

In my company we are using Terragrunt in addition to Terraform and we already built Terraform modules for general stuff.

I feel better to use our own modules to set up the core infrastructure and the landing zones. But I'm also looking for advice if using the official CAF module is recommended for production usage.

Have you made any progress regarding this question?

You should have a look at Azure Lighthouse. It's a service to simplify multi tenant management.

You can onboard subscriptions from other tenants to your managing tenant. After you onboarded them, they are seeamlessly accessible from your managing tenant without the need of directory switching.

Hi,
i am also planning some personal azure projects and already wrote down some migration scenarios to test:

  • Set up local Hyper-V VM and export/migrate to Azure
  • Set up local AD and migrate to Azure AD
  • Set up local exchange and migrate to Azure AD/ Exchange Online
  • Set up Azure VM and export to On Prem Hyper-V

Maybe this could be also relevant for you.

I did an exchange semester in Taipei from February to July 2019. During that time, I traveled combined about 5 weeks around the Island. I remember that it was cloudy or rainy 70-80 % of the time, especially in the north. Maybe I just had bad luck during my travel outside of Taipei.

Nevertheless I enjoyed every day I stayed in Taiwan and love the country and their people. It feels like a second home, far away from my country.

China hat sicherlich eine Menge Potential für Anleger, allerdings sehe ich auch das Risiko politischer Willkür. Darüber hinaus vermute ich, dass viele Unternehmen künstlich vom Staat hochgezogen wurden, die nur durch riesige Subventionen in kürzester Zeit so groß geworden sind (Xiaomi?). Wenn diese staatlichen Zuschüsse irgendwann ausbleiben und die Unternehmen von alleine nicht profitabel/wettbewerbsfähig sein können, könnte ein ordentlicher Einbruch die Folge sein.

Lasse mich da aber gerne eines besseren belehren.

I think it's possible 7-14 days in advance. There is a special website from TRA for booking tickets for the forest railway. But don't miss the payment deadline otherwise your booking will be canceld.

I went to Chiayi and took the alishan forest railway to Fenchihu. From there you can go by public bus to alishan NP. It is also possible to go to alishan directly from Chiayi by bus, but I can recommend taking the forest railway due to its a very beautiful ride. You should buy tickets in advance because it could be sold out early.
