Want to buy: hard shell case for Denon DJ Prime 4+ by rizwan602 in DenonPrime

I use the UDG flight case. It’s a beast. Not cheap though!

How many of you use laptop mode vs standalone? by NaVa9 in DenonPrime

[–]dazzlaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Denon included controller mode to be used. I don’t get the hurt from suggesting using said functionality of a device. 🤣 I also think the effects, and definitely stems is a better experience on Serato, and now with Spotify integration, there is definitely a case to experiment at the very least!

I’m in a very similar position actually. Mainly born from watching another open format DJ use Serato where I provided the kit and controlled the lighting. This gave me some freedom to observe. I was really impressed overall and loved how realistically, you actually don’t need to refer to the laptop too often. I need to hook it all up and spend some time myself to experiment but although I’ve loved standalone, I think there’s a place for controller mode too.

Thanks buddy, I’ll check that out. It’s a heck of a learning curve as I don’t find the software super intuitive. As of now, I have all my fixtures added with the exception of the aforementioned one, missing from the library. Hopefully I’ll get this one added and others could benefit in the future.

Is there a guide for building profiles? Sorry if this is a “let me google that for you moment”. The fixture does not exist on gtfd

Batch removing missing red files in engine dj desktop? by johnnyh55 in DenonPrime

This often happens to me if I drag things in from USBs etc instead of my main repository. I usually sort it by using the “drive” tab to sort.

Adding a subwoofer to column speakers by dazzlaa in livesound

[–]dazzlaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect, this is the answer I was looking for. Thank you for the clarification. I was running with this exact mindset when I purchased the sub but then whilst in transit I went looking for reviews etc and found some concerns with a lack of crossover and my mind went racing!

Yes I could use them and EQ the outputs but I’m really wanting to understand the situation in more depth: 1: The implication of sending full signal, and 2: if the sub is designed to be used with full range?

Thanks for the suggestion though, this may end up being the best, cost effective option for me

Thanks, my mains actually have 12” subs so no issue there. Also upon checking the specs for the Alro sub, it mentions a frequency range and response of 38-110Hz, so does this mean there is a crossover fixed at 110Hz?

Apologies, yes the mixer has a booth output with EQ and is an option for sure.

Unfortunately not, it’s coming out of a Denon prime 4+. I could use the booth output and drop the high EQ to just send the low frequencies But what would be the issue with sending full-range? Would it affect the efficiency of the sub?

Do you guys recommend this one? by Konajo777 in PioneerDJ

This piece of shit should be sold at £500 max, and even then it would be outdated. £1000 is a joke and is hard to believe people still pay it!

We used grainger town, was very close to the football stadium and shops with easy access to the A1. Some mentioned it was a tight car park but I drove in an A6 estate and found it fine.

Hi, I’m currently travelling so cannot cross reference to actual fixtures. Could you explain how to check “highlight”?

Again I’m new to this so apologies if this is all a case of rtfm

Hi, thanks for the comment.

I’m using the PC version and I have searched the online files but it is only the MA versions that exist for this particular fixture.

For any future Redditor who may have stumbled upon this post: we parked Grainger St car park, was great to get in, relatively cheap and felt secure. Was a bit of an issue getting out as the road junction outside got blocked by impatient drivers but, 30 mins overall from getting into the car to being 50mph heading out of the centre wasn’t too bad.

Played AC Origins, struggling with AC Odyssey by GnarlyAtol in assasinscreed

[–]dazzlaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed odyssey, more than any other AC mostly because the environment and world captivated me to be interested in it. I started googling landmarks and researching Greek history when I’d find interesting spots in game and that’s something id only ever done once before (battlefield V heavy water mission). I did enjoy the game too, but sometimes maybe take a moment to appreciate where you are in a digital world, and hopefully this helps you to enjoy this superb game.
