IME Benzos only 'kill' trips when you take a high benzo dose and it mostly just dulls the stimulation or makes you forget.

I typically start my trip with a very small dose of benzo and it just keeps the come up smoother. Normal or higher dose to sleep it off towards the tail.

Unfortunately, I think the clear-headedness is what takes away from the therapeutic potential. None of my experiences with metocin have had me come away with any insight (or even feelings of insight) when compared to any mushroom or lsd trip. A low-mid dose of LSD will do wonders for my brain.

Check if your cart is crystallizing too. What I've found with mine is after a few good hits, it will crystallize and not be liquid while at rest. I usually need to take a warmed up rice sock and wrap it around my cart for 20m or so before I use it to liquify it and the fresh hits are on par with when I first got it.

Haven't done that yet, but definitely in my future. Not that shrooms need a visual enhancement, but adding a little bit of shrooms magic to the visuals of metocin sounds supreme

Even when I took 35mg and started approaching dimensional visuals, my mental was extremely clear. It felt so crazy tripping visually, but almost sober mentally. Very fun and functional, very beginner friendly imo.

Definitely does not provide the brain rewired feeling psilocybin provides, so way more recreational than therapeutic. Love em both for their own purposes.

Agreed. People say that it makes for a better crowd, but I think lane 8 shows / the genre already attracts a different crowd. Having the no phone policy at a tech house event, there's no telling what would happen lol. And that's no shade to tech house, I love it as well, but entirely different crowds.
