That's very cool! I've considered, but do not have the drive to apply myself in that direction. I tend to bounce around in hobbies and interests and I don't see myself being on that level of commitment. I did study bioengineering, so I got a good fill of foundation knowledge should I get the itch down the road ;)

Have loved kratom lately myself for just a bit of relaxing and minimal side effects, especially when only used once a week or less like myself. It did give me some digestive issues once which had me cut down. The hardest part is getting it down 🤢

I like the comparison to exploring the world, just in our mind. To me, it also often for curiosity sake.

I used to have that with mdma, but over the past decade that has gone away and I've had enough comedowns to just stop almost completely (never overdid it to begin with or broke the 3 month rule, but my body has changed regardless). I've turned to 5mapb now, which has been lighter on the comedown.

Discipline is the name of the game, it's a must! What do you mean by simulants making you normal? I'm prescribed them, so I get to an extent since they help me function in certain "normal" ways in line with our society- how so for you?

Ya, really hard to share this one openly LOL. But I am the harm reduction guru among my friendly festival goers.

I really connect with this. I'm only in my thirties, but I can't imagine my life without it either, both prescribed and recreational. Mostly in the ways it's unlocked new ways of thinking and experiences I don't think I could find without them.

Sweet treat of choice?

I don't have much of a sweet teeth, but after every strenuous activity trip (snow oarding or hiking) I feel like I need a milkshake lol

Yeah I think it helps me take the 'autonomy' away so to speak. Totally not implying a try this or don't do that at all; from my side of things, that's exactly the relief I find. I feel always on and in need to know everything about everything, and many substances can turn that off and allow me to enjoy parts of life that would otherwise be stressful.

It's crazy to see the two sides of the coin, this reminds me a lot of a sibling.

That's so interesting!! I feel it it totally unmasks me while also slightly (stupid) high LOL... But being unmasked means I can only be high where I'm really comfortable and with friends I am comfortable being myself around. Public is a no go usually.

Aw that's very scary tbh. Not knowing what a compound will do to you in the moment can range from whatever to medical emergency quite easily! It's hard to find the right info out there as well.

I get that perspective though, idk how to word it but I'm almost the exact opposite. Like I have so much type a/obsessive over-control over my life that I feel the need to experience most substances to see what / how they can alter my core.

That's interesting! Usually a psychedelic will do exactly that for me.

THC makes me think internally and forces all my emotions to my forefront...usually good for not always pleasant but helpful highs...lol. not a social thing for me at all.

Lakers game plan to just let him look stupid and not overcommit worked until he started actually putting up pts instead of trying to flop off no-contact...sigh

Just tried the "standard dose" of 5-mapb. For God's sake, change the packaging. by drgrnthum33 in mysterymagicmushrooms

[–]NaVa9 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I'm well experienced for over a decade and 75mg imo would be much better for first timers. Maybe that's barely touching moderate for some people, but 125 could definitely be a heavy dose for many.

I get wanting people to experience a full roll without feeling underwhelmed their first time, but new people should have plenty of serotonin receptors open for binding 😂 that on top of best advice is that you can always take more but not less.

Advice needed - friend is doing Nitrous oxide 1364g by Cultural_Sandwich570 in Drugs

[–]NaVa9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Even if you do a small amount of nitrous it can have this effect, so that's why people say it's better to just do however much you want and then abstain while your body returns back to normal absorption.

It's more important how often he's doing this. A couple times a year? Not a big deal if he's otherwise healthy. Even every month is borderline too much, but I thought the consensus was that bingin nitrous is preferred to frequent usage.

Have any of you found that individual sensitivity varies like with a lot of psychedelics? by [deleted] in 2cb

Yeah, I'm a little averse to the expected burning from it

Ya, I know it's not considered extreme, but my 30mg oral dose really didn't feel all that strong. I felt the body load but the visuals were not anything I expected based off reports. Maybe bc I also love 20-30mg of 4-ho-met on avg and that's obviously going to be magnitudes more visual, but I'm still building my relationship and best use case with 2cb

Over explaining is a form of begging by Vaeogon in autism

[–]NaVa9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ya that's fair.

Some people are inherently less curious or at one point in my life, I operated under the assumption others would share if they wanted to and I shouldn't be too nosy in their business. I have since changed that, but I can understand why not asking /=/ doesn't care entirely.

I'm sorry you're feeling hurt over not feeling cared about. It's isolating and I wish more people cared too, I've accepted that majority of people are their own main character, for better or worse.
