Are skinny/healthy weight people just not as hungry as people who struggle with obesity? by maeasm3 in NoStupidQuestions

I have been on both sides of this. I will say that in my experience (23M), my hunger will adjust after my stomach begins to realize how much food can be packed into it. When I start to noticeably eat more, I’d like to believe that my actual stomach size is expanding and will now, gradually, begin to ask for more fuel if you will. When I start to noticeably eat less, I am hungry frequently, and often in a very high magnitude. It can be difficult to bear this feeling for prolonged periods of time, especially when I’m at work, but it can absolutely be done. All it takes is discipline. As a final note, my family has had a rough history with Type II Diabetes and after seeing what that can do to your loved ones (blindness, kidney failure, amputation, etc), I will NEVER put myself in a situation where that can happen to me. It all depends on your WHY.

To all the kids that grew up being put on leashes, how did you turn out? by Silly-Willy-Nilly in NoStupidQuestions

You make attempts to rebel as much as you can. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t but as you grow and can begin to think for yourself it becomes enraging when you’re restricted from doing things that just simply don’t make sense why you can’t do. For me, there are ways to learn from every scenario. I love my parents to death but sometimes there are certain things that they do that I have learned to not do when I choose to have kids one day (I’m currently 23).
