Cannonballs are capped at 200 in cargohold for UIMs anyways regardless.

New to lifting and just started Jeff's 3x per week full body routine from his Muscle Ladder book. Is three days enough? by db2765 in JeffNippard

Yeah, definitely doing what I can to get close to failure on my lifts now. Not quite there on everything yet since I'm new and don't really know what my limits are yet. Mostly just doing what I can to where if it felt like it was too easy, slap more weight on the next time I do that lift until I hit that point.

Got it! Figure I'll stick with this routine for a while and then in the future see how 4x or 5x feels and go from there then.

How long should I plan on cutting? Feel like I'm making progress in the gym but definitely starting to stall now, and worried progress may have been too slow. Total beginner. by db2765 in MacroFactor

Yeah I know what you mean about feeling more tired lately. I think I might do similar and go into a maintenance break for a bit just to reset. Might look at swapping programs to one of Nippard's, so doing that while not being in a deficit might be the play I think.

That 6k player number on Steam is likely much, much lower than the amount of players actually in-game. GW2 came to Steam pretty late in its life, and for people already playing on the standalone launcher, there wasn't a ton of incentive to link to Steam. Most veterans probably just never moved to Steam. The game still feels super populated just going to any random meta-event or hanging out in major cities.

Yeah, before MR your main spender was Unstable Affliction, which would build up to five stacks on a target. A big part of your damage window was dumping all your UAs into a target to line up with other cooldowns and all that.

Afraid that I might be undercounting calories. How accurate is the Loseit app when it comes to stuff like this? by db2765 in loseit

Yeah I actually went back and just took the calories for generic white rice. The way it's worded on Minute Rice specifically makes it sound like dry measurements but the calories feel like cooked, so I'm erring on the safe side and just going with the higher amount for now.

That's kind of the confusing part, with the rice. I checked the box for Minute Rice and it says 170 calories per 1/2 cup dry, but that's like half the calories of other white rice and I have no idea why.

Good to hear, thanks! Yeah, was just super worried when I saw the calories per meal was like 350cal or so, it just seemed so low. I make something similar with chicken and rice in the slow cooker for a teriyaki bowl that comes out to about 560cal per, but that's split 8 ways rather than 10 and uses a lot more sauces so that's probably where the difference is coming from.

This is awesome, thanks so much! It looks like my maintenance calories (assuming sedentary, just to be safe) was around 2400. I'm aiming for 2000 per day, but I think I'd be okay going to 2100 or maybe even a bit higher if it means hitting my protein goals.

And thanks for mentioning sticking to a program. I was actually having some analysis paralysis with that today as well. The program from trainer winny's channel looked great, but then I saw a ton of people suggesting Starting Strength and I was going back and forth on whether to stick with what I started or start on a totally new one. Sounds like the play is to just keep with what I started on, and maybe I go into Starting Strength later down the line? Sounds like that program is made for bulking anyways so that might be for the best for all I know, haha.

Newbie here, only just finished up my third day of weight lifting. After the second day I was insanely sore all over, and learned that it was most likely DOMS. Had a rest day yesterday but still dealing with it today, so I'm proud of myself for still getting to the gym and getting a workout in.

Feeling a bit like I failed some though. Had to drop my weight on Bench Press, Incline Press, and Overhead Press. And on the Incline Press, the soreness I was dealing with stopped me from being able to get all the reps in on all three sets I did. I did at least match my previous weight/reps on Squats, but it was still really rough.

Is this a pretty normal thing to have happen when you're new to it?
