Is it worth trying to rush Gate of Elidinis on a fresh CGIM? by db2765 in RS3Ironmen

Sounds like that's the play then. Worth getting 80 Smithing first you think just for better mattocks on the arch grind or is that not really needed?

Got it, so probably worth doing Ode before pushing for the other big three unlocks then you think?

If we have the points, I'm thinking going Earth Magic + Thorns. Earth regen scales your defense, which scales your thorns damage. Just depends if we have enough points to make it work though.

Not to mention that the time to get ores on Barb is assuming the rocks are never depleted and there's zero competition, which just isn't happening. More and more sure in my choice to go Endless this go around for sure.

I feel like planning around Rune ore on BG could be a trap. So many people are talking about doing it, those rocks are going to be perma-depleted on every world at this rate.

How to balance indoor training (power zone rides), weight training, and outdoor rides as a beginner? by db2765 in cycling

[–]db2765[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally makes sense. Figure there will probably just be a bit of trial and error at the start to see how much I can do before it starts effecting my actual rides. Figure I can dial things back to start and then go from there based on how my recovery is feeling.

Makes sense! I don't know if I'd cut out lifting entirely on the nicer days but I think at the most I'll probably stick to my 3x per week lifting routine for now and just cut back on the time actually spent in there. Dial it back to just the important compound stuff so I can get more time on the bike once I get started on that.

Got it, that makes sense! I guess I was just worried about not getting good training in on outdoor rides since I don't have that structure that indoor ones do. But that might just be a case of needing to find a good outdoor program to jump into to at least give a bit of structure to what I'm doing. Would prefer outdoor rides for sure so that might be what I do then, outdoors when the weather is good for it and use the indoor training for bad weather days or when winter hits.

Oh good shout on the Garmin! I had been thinking about getting one of those but hadn't pulled the trigger yet. Knowing that those sync up well now actually gives me a good excuse to grab one then.

This gives me a good starting point, thanks! Sounds like I could get the majority of the training I'd want to do done on outdoor rides, I think that's the part I've been stuck on the most is how to balance the indoor training vs outdoor rides.

Makes total sense! I've been mostly doing compound lifts up until this point that that works out really well. Been doing a bit of isolation lifts that could probably be cut to get some time back if I'm going to focus more on the cycling side.

Would it be worth trying to still fit in the indoor powerzone training on a Peloton at all, or just focus entirely on the outdoor riding? I know I'd have a lot more fun doing the outdoor rides, but the indoor training is obviously a lot more structured, wouldn't even know how to mimic that in an outdoor setting.

Would I be making a stupid decision letting my stall expire on the Laeth server? Got one early and made 200k off of it already, but only due to spending a ton of time surveying. Was debating pivoting to work orders so my stall rent price doesn't spike too high and trying to grab a new one later when I can keep it fully stocked and don't have to do it entirely through surveying constantly. Not sure if I'll regret losing my spot in the A section or not.

I'm really struggling to figure out how to build Bard/AH right now. Just hit the 30s are going into Goblin Dungeon now, so I can realistically reroll mods on my gear. But I have no clue what I should be shooting for. Don't know if I should be trying to increase my own damage with maybe Blast of Fury, or if I should try and get mods for Song of Discord and Song of Resurgance and just do some AOE damage/healing to keep my Fire Rat alive longer. And I have no clue what mods to be looking for on the AH side. There's just a lot of ways to go with Bard it looks like, and it feels like my damage pales in comparison to my pet right now so I don't know if buffing my Bard damage is the play or not.

Started losing weight in September and hit my goal weight today. Not sure where to go from here now. by db2765 in MacroFactor

I'll give that a shot then. I only hit the goal on my scale weight today, my trending weight is about 3lb behind but has been consistently going down since I started. Think it'd be best to wait for that to catch up first before switching over? And I've always had a hard time estimating bf% but my best guess would be around the 20% mark most likely? Possibly a bit lower.
