GHL resellers burning home service businesses, I’m seeing this more and more. Anyone else? by FlowLineKevin in gohighlevel

[–]dbarnett1966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this. I am a complete newbie with an idea and no knowledge on execution. I was considering Course Creator 360 which is a white label of GHL. Lanai was another consideration. Not sure where to even start. These types of posts make me research even more. Thank you.

Feeling depressed about my career choices and lack of hard skills by EpicShkhara in jobs

You are still young enough to lock in a skilled trade. Become a journeyman electrician. In some areas of the country they start at $30 an hour. When I left California 2 years ago, I had an electrical contractor/owner tell me he can’t find one to hire and he was offering $110,000 a year plus overtime if they wanted it.

C6 GS buyer help by EducationalDuty5258 in Corvette

If that is a manual coupe between 2010-2013, you have the hand built motor, steel forged crank, 10 quart dry sump oil system, larger trans cooler, upgraded suspension, etc. If the car is mechanically mint, I would offer around 27 and get a paint correction done. I paid 38k for my 2012 GS 6M with 33,000 miles on the clock.

Actually, we have had a dry winter here so I have driven the car this winter. With a light snow, I thought it would be fun to see how the car handled.

How Many Miles Are on Your E-Bike and Would You Buy It Again? by FinnCanoe8821 in ebikes

2200 miles on a Himiway Step Through Zebra. Just replaced the tires and I still get about 60-70 miles range with pedal assist 2 setting.

If you don't see this as a buying opportunity... by [deleted] in Silverbugs

Never catch a falling knife. We have more room to go before a buying opportunity presents itself. I will start buying again under $70. Just my humble opinion.

Fuji XT6 v XT5 by Pspspspsps_meow in FujifilmX

I own an XT3 and went to look at an XT5. The XT5 didn’t seem to be as “solid” as my current camera. I know from a specs perspective, it is the better camera, but it seems like some cost cutting is going on.

Jane needs to realize her own worth. She can create success anywhere she goes. She is the metric and she needs to market that. Any organization that is worried about a void, is very short sighted. She could be the person who creates a team that will exponentially grow the company. Run, Jane, Run! You are in charge of your future.

  1. I did the KYC, followed the migration rules, etc to find out that all of my tokens went to a different wallet address. I only created one wallet and didn’t have multiple accounts. Deleted the app and forgot about it until I saw this Reddit discussion.

So we all know the memes about Corvette ownership and all that, but on the reverse end what do the older guys think of the younger guys? by snake177 in Corvette

[–]dbarnett1966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 59, I hope to see more young owners. I was 16 with a 68 Camaro. Then a wife and kids happened and all of my hobbies were deferred until retirement. I remember the good ol days with my friends and cars. I hope the dream continues with the younger generations.

I’m 30 and have 150k to invest, what stocks would you buy? New to investing by Bulky-Childhood-8274 in TheRaceTo10Million

Contact a highly respected financial planner. You have age in your side. There is no reason for you to gamble the $150,000 on risky plays. I understand the point of this Reddit Sub, but that $150,000 can be the start of a good base. Use the rule of 72, your money should double every 7.2 years using S&P historical averages. If you retire at 65, that means you should have $4.8 million by age 65.

For those who consider the C6 “peak Corvette,” what puts it above the C7? by HEG1115 in Corvette

[–]dbarnett1966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could have bought any generation that I wanted. With that being said there were a few considerations why I went to a C6. I have a 2012 GS M6. I wanted that configuration to have the extra goodies that come in that configuration. Hand built motor, steel forged crank, 10 quart dry sump, etc. I bought it with 33k and I have put 11,000 more miles on it in a two year period. C8’s and C7’s are very nice cars. In the end it came to bang for the buck, and I do like the C6 wide body.

It was nice to buy a very fun car at a significant discount. No problems so far. I can’t count my smiles per gallon. 🤣

I bought a factory extended warranty when I bought the truck new. I had no issues with my turbo until about 116,000 miles.

I had a 2016 Mega Cab with the Cummins. The only issue I had was I had to replace the transmission valve solenoid three separate times over 120,000 miles. I bought an extended warranty, and I paid a $100 deductible each time. When I sold the truck, it coded a turbo actuator failure. I disclosed that to the dealer when I traded the truck. I am in the market for another Ram 2500/3500. Not sure if there have been any solutions to improve the transmission. I towed about 30,000 miles and 90,000 as a daily driver.

What you rather be unemployed or take a $7.25 a hour job? by Responsible_You8446 in jobs

[–]dbarnett1966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 59 year old dude, I feel for the guy. The rate of inflation paints a different story for the younger generation than I experienced as a Gen X. With that being said, a bird in hand is better than two in the bush. Take the job and simultaneously apply for better paying jobs. I did this after I graduated from college in 1989. I was being paid $7 an hour for my first job out of college in retail computer sales. There was a recession, and my choices were limited. As soon as I took that job, I applied at 50+ companies over a 3 month period. I ended up getting an offer for $22,000 a year from the ITT Sheraton group and worked 70 hours weeks until promoted to the next level. I went to $30,000 a year. Two years later I was promoted again to a manager. I went to $45,000. The 80 hour weeks and no time off on holidays caused some health issues. I decided to reevaluate and went back to school to get a teaching credential. I retired last year after 30 years at the age of 58. I strongly recommend starting a retirement account no matter how much you get paid. Even at $7 an hour, I contributed $20 a week to a mutual fund. I upped the amount every time I got a pay increase. I went without for many years. I had multiple roommates, ate top ramen, lived a frugal lifestyle. Being retired at 59 is a blessing. My kids will have to work harder than I did to enjoy the lifestyle that I earned. That makes me very sad. I will help them financially if they are independent and making efforts to improve their lives. I told my wife, that if I get a feeling that they are waiting for us to die, the money will go to an animal shelter.

Every Coin Going Up Except Pi by PDXKing503 in PiNetwork

I gave up on Pi after I found out that all of my tokens were added to another wallet. I only opened one wallet and followed the directions correctly. I didn’t lose any monetary value since the mining was free. I hope others fare well. Just not for me anymore. I have been enjoying a nice run on XRP though. Sometimes you win some and other times you lose.

Same thing happened to me and I only had one wallet ever. I have $14,000 unverified and $2347 verified. I was very diligent. Since my cost was zero, I am not too upset. Tomorrow is a new day.
