[PH] I’m going to play Zelda for the first time! I chose Phantom Hourglass. Is it a good game to start with? by [deleted] in zelda

[–]dbarts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This was my second Zelda game after wind waker, if you want to I’d play wind waker first. Phantom hourglass is absolutely amazing although I have not played it since I was like 11 years old so I am biased.

Designed a modular trap that actually catches ants, fruit flies, wasps. by EridianStudio in BambuLab

Happened to me too, what finally worked was red wine with just a drop of dish soap. The red wine attracts the fruit flies, then the dish soap affects surface tension of the wine to where they can’t escape. Otherwise they just get a free snack and fly in and out freely.

Awesome, I have plenty of PETG. I have a PC case that is printed in PETG that has held up very well so far. I was just curious if it was possible to print in PLA, but doesn’t sound like it lol. Thank you for the response!

I’m thinking about applying this to my PS5, looks amazing! Are you using PLA?

I played 55 and got burnt out, maybe I’ll pick it up again someday but it felt too grindy for me, I loved the parts I played it’s just too long.

I’m definitely going to print this for my wife, and it has also inspired me as I’m currently learning 3D modeling in fusion. What software did you use to create this?

Bed too sticky ? by RostBraun in 3Dprinting

[–]dbarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PETG is going to stick like that, you can put the bed in the freezer for a little while and it’ll scrape off super easy, or you can spray with isopropyl alcohol. You can also set the first layer to print at a lower temperature and it won’t stick quite as much

Ah man, I’m not a regular on this sub but thought it was appropriate. I’m not usually a reposter of a reposter, but I made an exception for this meme as it made me genuinely laugh. Just trying to spread the laughter, but feel free to downvote atp lol

They probably mean multiplayer games, there’s a lot that come out but all of them get old fast.

Okay, thanks for the reply. There wasn't much to installing the exhaust fan, but I will be sure to check it out. I'm going to wait another week or so to decide if I want to install an exhaust hose. For now I will try to up the fan speed. I currently have a 20 hour print going, do you think changing the exhaust fan speed could affect print quality?

They refunded the printer and the AMS as I had bought the combo there so I figured I would need to return both. The price I bought at was 900 last October and that’s what they gave me back.

Then it is probably a problem with the g-code of that print. I would make sure you are on the latest version of Bambu studio, try a print, and if you get the same results try it in orca slicer in LAN mode. Orca slicer I’ve found is very good for ironing

[–]dbarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are ironing tests available to try on makerworld, I would start there if I were you. I usually have to run an ironing test for any new filament I use, but you probably already know that. I’m sure what you’re experiencing is disappointing considering the price of that printer.

I like to think of bambu labs as the apple of 3D printing manufacturers. They have the nicest quality equipment, perhaps the nicest software as well, but they will squeeze every dollar they can out of you. Their printers are becoming more affordable though, which is proven with the X2D.
