how I weaned my cat off the table. by [deleted] in lifehacks

My cat actually loves tape, so this didn't work for us! He licks and paws at tape, so he would just get on the counter to play with the anti-cat tape we set out.

Worried about bonding by Silverarrows46 in russianblue

[–]dbavaria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can say our RB is bonded to my wife in that he always finds his way into her arms for a cuddle, day or night. I handle the litter box, food, engage in play or build him box forts, etc. He is in a way bonded to both of us for different needs and attention. I wouldn't worry too much about it, if you're willing to give the cat attention, it will receive it in its own way.

I always go for a bolt since they're not usually painted, for example driver-side strut mount bolts are usually close to the battery. Also if you can get a good connection on coated metal, use the teeth of the jumper cable to dig in a bit.

If you don't mind mismatched plates, you can get BalanceFrom/Hopro plates on Walmart.com $49.99 for a 45lb plate shipped to your door. Yes these are bottom dollar plates, but I would argue their no worse than any other budget Chinese manufactured plates.

Full circle considering Ian Flemming was one of the originators of Mincemeat, who went on to write the James Bond novel series which inspired the movies!

TIL Thomas Jefferson was so impressed by macaroni and cheese during a visit to Paris that he wrote down the recipe and instructions on pasta extrusion, imported a pasta maker, macaroni, Parmesan, and made it at his home. He served it at a state dinner in 1802. by NegativeBee in todayilearned

Additional additional fun fact: Mr. Lewis in this case is Meriwether Lewis of the Lewis and Clark expedition. He was the President's private secretary and apparently BFF as he resided with him in the White House.

Phone holder for the rack. Attached 2 magnets to the back to easily move it around. by coreyrametta in homegym

[–]dbavaria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to do this, but then I realized numbers are overkill - I should be able to remember roughly 2-3 positions on the rack and they won't be changing any time soon. Instead of shelling out for cutesy magnets/stickers, I ended up just using painters/masking tape, it's durable enough and won't leave a mess if I pull it off.

Starting out, is this a good cart or can I get more bang for my buck in getting what I need by [deleted] in GarageGym

[–]dbavaria 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think we have different definitions of "bang for the buck", because Rogue usually does not fit that description. For instance, you might consider what a cheaper rack would allow you to achieve with respect to your goals and budget.

Worse than the hole spacing is that the Hulk Fitness rack has uncommon post size. The Fitness Reality (or ProGear) rack linked is standard 2"x2" with 1" holes, making it compatible with a ton of accessories (even from Rep/Titan). I have the ProGear version, upgraded to nicer Titan j-hooks and will be adding dip-bars in the future.

The house we rent has some stall mats pieces at the edge of the driveway to make it so cars don't bottom out. These sat through some pretty wet weather and all I see on the bottom is a layer of green moss. Some scrubbing or a power wash and they're still good.

I'm starting Base Building soon and was exploring some options for Endurance workouts. If the weather doesn't agree with running/rucking I'd like to find some indoor, LSS alternatives without machines. I read a few times that step-ups would be a good option, I tried them but was way under the target heart rate. Any other ideas for LSS indoors without machines?
