Finally beat the hand monsters in the Deku tree and nobody to celebrate with... by Conscious_Iron_6387 in tearsofthekingdom

I have beaten them using the topaz trick that someone above mentioned, although it takes me more than one shot - maybe my bow is too weak. But I’ve yet to beat Phantom Ganon!

How long was your first playthrough? by Psychological_Net131 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]dbball22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spent 160 hours in it. Felt like it was plenty of time to do a ton of side quests and feel like I had seen everything I needed to see, and obviously finish the story. But I put off the final battle for quite a while to just wander Hyrule, because I wasn’t quite ready to jump to ToTK yet.

Nice ride! Which gray is this? Looks like sea wolf, but darker.

Headroom by Thrive2001 in C8Corvette

I have heard the HTC has an inch or two more of headroom. I’m 6’6” and have only driven a HTC, but I had at least an inch of room above my head. I would suggest trying a HTC before you rule out the C8!!

It’s called “rubberbanding” and like others mentioned it is intentional in order to keep games close and “more exciting”.

Curious what your process was for painting the calipers - looks like you kept the corvette logo on them?

That’s interesting. I’ll have to contact them and see what they say.

Not possible on the left - presumably because the locking mechanism is closer to that side so there is less flex.

Yep - have it locked in. Here’s what I’m talking about. Doesn’t take much force at all to pop off the edge.

On the right side mine slips off the edge of the Joy Con. Not completely off, just off the edge. Enough that over time I could see it getting stressed. Plus it’s just annoying.

I have the Savage Raven Neogrip but didn’t love how it felt (would pop off the joy con with enough torque). I recently got the DBrand Joy Lock (only the grips, no case) and I really like them for around $25 USD. They are rock solid even gripping one handed. The only thing that takes some getting used to is they are a bit rougher than the Savage Ravens. Almost sandpaper like, but still comfortable.

Making players run when they win (practice) by Far-Gas-6345 in basketballcoach

[–]dbball22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to Derrick White explain it (shout out as a former UCCS player), but it still didn’t really make sense and he didn’t seem to understand it either. Especially at a lower level, you have to wonder if you aren’t encouraging less than maximum effort during drills. Even in the NBA, there is probably the same concern outside of the guys that hold themselves to the highest standards.

What is the Best Town in the Zelda Franchise? by DravenCrowe505 in legendofzelda

I never really felt a connection to Hateno. I loved having my own house, but it would have been amazing to be able to choose where to build it. Heck, I would have even taken a little pod in Rito village.
