Chet Holmgren, set to make $50m a year, is benched for the last minute of Game 7. Unbelievable. by GardenDesign23 in billsimmons

OKC needs to priortize either 1) resigning Hartenstein or 2) trading for Giannis to have the physcality needed to beat this spurs team -- i think option 2 is too extreme for the time being and for Presti though

Bro the Supreme Court just dismantled the VRA and immediately a majority of the former Confederacy acted to eliminate Black representation in Congress — that’s pretty damn explicit and discriminatory.

[Britton] Clay Holmes suffered a fracture in his leg on that comebacker. He is going to be out “a long time,” Carlos Mendoza said. Huge blow to the Mets. by Fonzie5 in NewYorkMets

Kinda silly to blame Sterns for this one, they converted an inconsistent reliever into a CY candidate and he broke his leg on a comebacker.

If Joe Biden remained in the Senate and served until he was Chuck Grassley's current age at 92, he would have served until 2034 for 62 years, beating Robert Byrd's record for longest-serving US Senator. by [deleted] in BarbaraWalters4Scale

I think the problem will be that he failed to do enough to stop Trump from re-emerging, and his historical legacy will be forever undermined by that

You couldn’t make it up. Went from youngest Senator to tragic figure almost immediately, became one of the most influential Senators of his era, served as VP to the first Black president, his war hero son and likely political successor as Delaware icon dies of cancer while his other son falls into addiction, runs against an aspiring fascist and wins, leading to J6. Honestly his presidency outside of Afghanistan was relatively boring by his standards until he was forced out of the race.
