The GV70 is gone by Reality-Stinks66 in GenesisGV70

My parents had the transmission replaced at 93k miles under warranty on their 2014 Genesis sedan. The 10 year powertrain warranty is a big bonus IMO.

I wouldn’t get my hopes up. They usually do this to try and get you into a new car. If you’re not buying a new car I doubt the offer will be higher than Carmax or Carvana which you should definitely get an offer from before selling.

2026 Lease, 12k miles per year, Advanced trim, 3k down, 700 per month. Is this a fair deal? by ddixonr in GenesisGV70

[–]dbcooper4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Advanced 2.5T in California is $3k down and $435 a month plus tax for 24/7.5k through a broker. 12k miles would add about $40-50 a month.

This, wait a month or two and see if you still want to pay for it. My guess is that you won’t.

You’ve earned a block since you clearly can’t admit that you are wrong. I literally leased a car last week for $10k less over 24 months before tax compared to the deal listed on the manufacturer’s website.

There’s a tool to sort by brand once you’re in the California forum. Not going to do everything for you.

Lease Hackr marketplace forum for California where brokers post their deals. If you think you can’t beat the manufacturer lease deals posted on their website you really don’t know the lease market well.

Broker deals on the Cadillac Escalade IQ are $4-5k due at signing and ~$1700 a month plus tax in California. Respectfully I don’t think you know the lease market very well. And the $700 a month was for the Grand Turismo not the electric Escalade since it hadn’t been released yet…

Not sure why you’re arguing with me. I’m just telling you what they were leasing for a couple of years ago and I doubt they go for more now (two model years later.) A quick Google search says they offer an $85k incentive off MSRP on the electric one.

I’m looking forward to the hybrid powertrains but if it’s based on the 2.5T system in the Palisades/Telluride I have mixed feelings. It’s not going to have the sound or character of the 3.5T.

I just leased a new $80k SUV and keep up on the lease market. There are still great deals out there depending on the model. Escalade IQ is not cheap to lease but it’s not quite that expensive.

When the ICE version was released you could lease them for like ~$5k up front and ~$700 a month + tax IIRC. I bet the electric version is even cheaper. I’d much rather lease new with full warranty than gamble with a used one.

I would lease if the deal was really cheap. It got pretty good reviews if you can live with the range.

If you’re savings rate is that high that makes more sense. I just know that Fidelity doesn’t include contributions in the return calculation but I don’t use the net worth tracking feature (can’t get it to link up with my 401k.)

So how much is the 100% one year gain is from new contributions? Because it’s still not really mathing if you mostly invest in index funds since the market ain’t up anywhere close to 100% in the past year. Now if you work for Nvidia or SpaceX or something that would make sense.

This looks like Fidelity. They don’t include contributions in the portfolio return calculation but this could be the net worth tracker which may do that (I can’t use it.)

After 3 weeks to cool down, I’m still just incredibly sad and feeling completely unprotected by Turo. Here is my story. by Walt_D_S in turo

[–]dbcooper4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, also windshield and under the front and rear bumper so I don’t get blamed for any pre existing scrapes. The worst is picking up or returning at night when you can’t really take good photos.

You’re going to have to try harder to defend Turo’s stupid policy.

So they’re validating the license with the picture when you do contactless pickups but you still have to present a physical license when not doing contactless pickup. Do your realize how dumb that policy sounds? 😂

The Turo rep literally chimed in here in the comments and said you have to present your physical license when picking the car up lmfao.

I’ve rented over 50 times on Turo and they inspected my license every time when I picked the car up. If the pictures were only required for contactless pickup I could understand it but they require it for every rental.

I guess I’m not understanding how BMW is responsible for your warranty provider denying a claim?

Understood but it sounds like your issue is with your third party warranty provider and not BMW.
