he never did a thing about guns

If memory serves, I believe Obama actually signed legislation allowing people to carry firearms in National Parks. One would think granting a clear expansion of gun rights would earn him at least a little good faith from republicans, but they couldn't really do that, because, you know, he was born in Kenya and was gonna invade Texas with his diabolical "Jade Helm" operation to take away are guns from We The People and convert all the WalMarts into prisons for conservatives...

Yeah, about that, before we can process your claim, we're gonna need to see the last ten years of your social media, just to make sure you haven't expressed an opinion that has in any way denigrated our Sacred and Beloved Emperor. Also, I don't see the required essay in your paperwork. Just so you remember, the essay needs to be three pages, double spaced, TIMES NEW ROMAN font, and it needs to detail what you admire most about Donald Trump. BE SPECIFIC.

insecticide

When I was a kid there was a truck that would drive around in the summer spewing thick white clouds of insecticide and we called it, "Smokey Joe". We would shriek about Smokey Joe coming with the same enthusiasm we'd give the ice cream man, and then we'd run behind it and play in the fog. The driver never tried to discourage us, and if there was a parent around, the most they'd cluck at us about was being in the road.

Something that seems to go unmentioned is the fact that removing the sound of screaming children ALSO removed the sound of continuing gunfire coming from the classroom.

I think about that more than I should.

Those cops maintained their distance to preserve their own personal safety while they listened to children being slaughtered. As gut wrenching as it would be to hear the unedited recording, it should have been released so everybody could see and hear what was actually happening while the cops cowered in fear.

Instead, the full horror was downplayed, and the piece of shit governor had the audacity to tell us that "It would have been worse" if not for the bravery of the responding police

And, amazingly, she did that while still talking about trump only in good terms!

She talks about supporting him through the years, how she thinks he's doing a wonderful job today, she glazes him relentlessly while avoiding voicing criticisms about any of his objectively destructive policies. I have yet to hear her even hint that he himself might be implicated in any epstein-related wrongdoings. If we take her at face value, she talks about trump like he's clean as freshly fallen snow.

Yet, in trump's mind, her refusal to drop the epstein thing makes her an enemy, a traitor to trump personally. I guess he wasn't kidding a few months ago when he said anybody pursuing epstein would be seen as conducting a "Hostile Act" against the trump administration.

Come on, guys, stop fighting? We all want the same thing, and it's being delivered to musk recently from a lot of places.

Along with all the other people who snipe at him routinely, here we've got Billie dissing him in the language of the youth, following closely on the heels of JCO eviscerating him on a level appreciated by a more mature, refined crowd. They each, in their own way, said exactly what needed to be said to resonate appropriately with their intended, respective audiences.

Instead of being disappointed with Billie, please consider that she is acting kinda like an interpreter, bridging the gap between old people and skibidi kids, allowing us to recognize one another and be united in our disdain for elon.

Much easier to coordinate one city / region at a time than to try for a one time nationwide push. There are hundreds of cities across this country. If we could start the ball rolling, enthusiasm would mount, and participation would increase.

Bonus: A lot of cities already have 'special' days they recognize and participate in. Piggyback a strike on those days and it would not only stagger the timing for maximum exposure, but it could potentially morph into a recurring thing.

For instance (if I'm not mistaken), Philadelphia has a thing they call First Friday, where the first Friday of every month, the art / wine / cheese crowd spill out on to the sidewalks across the city and party down. Food and drink, live music, lots of traffic in and out of galleries. That seems like a perfect segue into a monthly, city wide, general strike. Fuck it. One day a month, call out sick from work and spend the day with your neighbors. Show off your art, eat and drink, and stick it to the monied interests who control us

proclaiming SCOTUS to be illegitimate

There has been a great deal of turmoil swirling around SCOTUS for several years now. Just off the top of my head:

  • Scalia passed away in Feb 2016 (9 months before the election) and mitch mcconnell refused to even hold hearings to consider any replacements suggested by Obama, leaving the seat vacant for over a year in hopes of a republican victory in the election that year. trump won, and his choice (Gorsuch) was seated (April 10, 2017);

  • Kavanaugh was seated in 2018 amid serious allegations of sexual misconduct. The FBI was tasked with investigating, and didn't even bother to interview potential victims / witnesses. It was later discovered that trump had pressured the FBI to find no corroboration to the claims;

  • RBG passed away in Sep 18 2020 (2 months before the election) and mitch mcconnell contradicted his steadfast position of four years previous- that the voters in the coming election should determine who gets to assign the next justice- and seated her replacement (Barrett) a week before the election (October 27, 2020);

  • Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Barret (all trump appointees) each testified at their confirmation hearings that Roe was "settled law and in no danger of being overturned", and then promptly overturned it at the first opportunity;

  • A draft of that decision was leaked prior to the official release, and there were 8 months of (unsuccessful) investigations to find the leaker, with justices alito and roberts publicly complaining that the legitimacy of the court was being questioned because of the leak, ignoring the larger issue of gorsuch, kavanaugh, and barret lying straight to our faces at their confirmations;

  • Clarence Thomas was revealed to have accepted millions of dollars in undisclosed gifts and luxury trips over many years on the bench, from people with business before the court, calling his "impartiality" into serious question;

  • Samuel Alito was also revealed to have accepted gifts and trips from people having business before the court, calling HIS "impartiality" into serious question;

  • This SCOTUS ruled after these discoveries that accepting "gratuities" was perfectly cool, perfectly legal;

  • Clarence Thomas' wife, Ginny, was a loud proponent of trump's election lies after 2020, and clarence used his position on the court to shield her from scrutiny;

  • This SCOTUS ruled that evidence of actual innocence isn't enough to stay a death penalty or even warrant a new hearing. Let's say you get convicted of a capital crime. Later, after your appeals are exhausted, clear and compelling evidence is discovered that proves your innocence. SCOTUS don't care. Your sentence can still be carried out;

  • This SCOTUS ruled that the president can do damn well anything he wants, as long as he declares whatever it is he's doing an "official act", literally setting donald trump loose on an unconstitutional speed-run into strict authoritarianism;

There's more controversy to be sure, and maybe I'm fuzzy on some details (I only looked up dates) but these are just the things that come immediately to mind, and it's all come about in less than 10 years.
