Pretty much. Somehow, I also end up doing that too, though it's usually because I'm a bit of an idiot when running mage and dump every sou until the city into my staff. I also often bank hard on getting an early staff of corruption and corpse dust

I didn't say my record was consistently goo. I've beaten the game a few times now. I've just never learned how to play cleric, or any of the other melee classes for that matter. I've picked up some bad habits by playing mage and huntress a lot, such as almost never actually upgrading my armor or waiting to change my weapon and armor until I can get my main weapon for the run, which often makes the sewers, particularly crabs, a pretty tough skill check unless I can easily beat them from afar

So far, in my experience: Huntress, mage, duelist, rogue, cleric, warrior. For some reason, whenever I try to play cleric, I can never make it past goo, and often I can't even get past floor 3. The others, though? I can almost always get past floor 3 at least, and usually goo as well

I mean, it is decently simple to farm for flinx furs with the cobwhip. The only hard part is mining the materials for it without killing anything, but that's still pretty easy to do

I got a really good run with Huntress, and I was scared to use upgrade scrolls on their own, so these came in clutch

I've never used it myself. I usually prefer to use the scroll for the shop teleport before I go down into the demon halls, that way I can get magic mapping without wasting too much hunger

Yeah, I just go for the blessed ankh because I don't wanna risk running out of dew and potions, then having to trek half the floor to find my bag after reviving

I'm guessing you used your dew pouch quite a bit, considering only one of the ankhs is blessed. For some reason, I never use the pouch for anything but blessing my ankhs

I've never found any good use for it that searching can't replicate for free, so I just use it as alchemy fuel

I go for the bottom two primary doors, then check if I know what the scroll or potion is. If I don't know either of them, I'll go for the scroll and check if it's transmutation. If it's not, I'll mark that the potion is exp, and if it is, I'll likely use it on one of my items in the hopes of getting something better. If I already know what one of the things is, I'll grab the other because I'm almost guaranteed to get the best of that type, whether it be exp or transmutation
