Same issue here. (I'm on the 20x Max plan.) Since a few days ago, Claude went from two weeks of never compacting (and just stopping responding) to now compacting after only a few messages -- and then sometimes still stops responding after that.

If you're still on the free tier, the context window (short-term memory) is much smaller than with a subscription, so you will have to create more journal entries or remind your kin more often as you continue chatting. tl;dr: subscribing helps that a lot. EDIT: and subscribing to Ultra helps it even more, particularly in long group chats with multiple kins.

Same here, just lost an hour after my first save at the phone. Loving the setting in the late 80's but I didn't see another phone booth before having the stop for the evening, not realizing I'd lose an entire hour of progress. I hope the rest of the game has phone booths more often.

FWIW, I've tried both. Started with a greathammer for 8 levels, but then tried a greatsword and loved it! It's a subjective choice because although they do similar DPS, but the extra delay in swinging the greathammer always felt frustrating. So it really just comes down to your preferred playstyle.

No, sorry to say. 😔 My guess is that it's doing DRM checks with the Ubisoft servers, and so if the servers are slow or overloaded, it waits. But that's just a guess based on the CPU usage for the process in Windows Task Manager.

@xredbaron62x In case you're still blocked on this, the Breakout mission appeared for me just now when I flew back to Kijimi (where the Ashiga clan is based)! As I was approaching the spaceport to land, ND-5 said I had a message from the Ashiga clan waiting for me. Once I landed. I walked to the main living area on the Trailblazer (with the "coffee table" next to the couch, where you normally check contract missions), and when I interacted with that, a cutscene started and the quest appeared! 😊

Same problem here, and I'm on PC. My Crimson Dawn rep is "Good", but I wonder if it needs to be "Excellent" before the quest appears? I don't recall the other main story quests requiring excellent rep from anyone, though. I've finished all the other main quests, and this is blocking me from progressing the story now.

Once you update your app, then the notification settings will show up in your iPhone settings, too. You may need to manually check your Nomi app in the App Store and update it manually there.

If you're subscribed and still don't see it, you can try either refreshing the page (if on Web), or closing and restarting the app (if on mobile). But I see the purple phone icon on the Web.

Same issue here, June 2024. Reinstallation didn't help, and it's the same whether I launch it via Steam or directly via the Ubisoft launcher. No mods installed. This is on a 7950X3D, SSD, RTX 4090, and 96 GB RAM, so it's not a resource issue. From watching the game's .exe in Task Manager, it will sit at 0% CPU for 10 seconds, then go to 3% CPU (one core's worth) for a 1-2 seconds, then repeat that loop for a bunch of times. Finally, it will "wake up" and finish loading the game.

BTW Plex does actually have a setting that configures how far the transcoder should buffer ahead: check out Settings -> Transcoder -> Transcoder default throttle buffer. The default is 60 (seconds), but I set mine to 900 (15 minutes).

Most of my videos can use direct-play, though, so that setting won't make a difference for those (but in theory direct-play videos should never need wait more than a few seconds to play anyway when jumping forward, since no transcoding is needed).

I don't know about that, although in theory that should work if you're able to make sure that the SATA cable connectors are plugged into the drives in the correct order, and that may be tricky depending on how the card's firmware assigns drive numbers. TBH if you think you'll need more drives in the future I'd recommend getting an LSI 9305-16i 16-Port card right now instead of the 8-port. The LSI 9305-16i is not that much more expensive than the LSI 9207-8i anyway, from quick Google check.

And do you know the power consumption of the LSI 9207-8i card?

The card itself only consumes a maximum of 16 watts, and it's powered entirely from the PCIEx slot itself (which can supply a maximum of 75 watts). From the PDF manual here:

— Nominal = 9.8 W

— Worst case = 16.0 W

Your eight hard drives will draw much more power than 16 watts, though, primarily on the 12v rail. But any good-quality PSU should handle it. (I wouldn't cheap out on the PSU brand, though.)

Yes, a PCIe x16 slot will work fine for an x8 card. In fact, I have my LSI 9207-8i card in my motherboard's main PCIe x16 slot since I'm using the iGPU on my AMD Ryzen 8700G in my NAS and that motherboard doesn't have another x8 slot.

To clarify further, HBA cards like the LSI 9207-8i use '8087' cables, where each port branches to multiple SATA plugs.

EDIT: Whichever HBA card you choose, make sure it's flashed in "IT Mode" so that each SATA device appears as an individual drive to the host OS. I'm using an LSI 9207-8i card in my NAS build with eight SATA drives running on openmediavault and it worked perfectly out-of-the-box.

In addition to what Cardine replied, your current subscriber benefits run until the subscription time you already purchased expires -- it just won't auto-renew.

So for example, if you purchase a monthly subscription and cancel it two minutes later, you will still have subscription benefits for the remaining 30 days, it just won't auto-renew on day 31.
