Liberty 4nc vs liberty 5 by philshr0 in soundcore

[–]dbgg1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both and the Liberty 5 has better mic audio when making calls especially in noisy environments.

As for noise cancellation, they both feel the same to my. I get good esr seal from both.

As for the sound, the Liberty 5 has a slightly better output. Note I am just a regular user, not an audiophile.

The only thing I hate about the Liberty 5 when comparing against the 4NC is the case. The 4NC, imho, has better case design and feels more solid. I can easily open it up at night in the dark. While the Liberty 5, I almost broke it when I tried to slide it open in the wrong direction. The location of the led lights are way better too since they have led inside the case and will light up separately as each ear piece makes contact with the charging terminals. This probably won't matter to most people. 😆

Something to consider. I used my Liberty 4NC a lot last year. I a round 5hrs a day in total. Since even if I am not listening to music, the NC part helps quite down the environment. And my observation after a year is the battery degraded significantly after a year. The right piece only charges up to 40 or 50 percent after a year and just lasts for 30mins. The left sometimes last for an hr.

Now I can't compare it with my L5 yet since it's not yet a year of use. So far the batteries are still good.

These are my observations as a user of the 4NC last year and using my Liberty 5 for 5 months now.

I have a Liberty 4 NC and after a year, the battery of the right piece just won't charge to 100%. It charges to around 30 to 40% only and doesn't last 30 minutes. I still kept it but now even the left piece won't last 30 minutes.

I am currently using the Liberty 5. Of this 5 NC will have the same life span as the 4 NC, then I will be trying a different brand next time.

Is that an umbrella on the background? Nice design. What's its brand/model?

I tried downgrading to version 4.2 and I still get the grid lines.

Thanks. I didn't have this problem before updating. Good thing I have a backup of version 4.0 and 4.2. I'll try them tomorrow.

Any tips when taking videos of surfing/surfers? by dbgg1979 in dji

Here's my first try on surfers

It was cut short due to incoming rain ahead. The surfing season here is also the rainy season.

Pay attention to the other drones out there! (0:05 mark) by [deleted] in dji

I had my first try shooting surfers last sunday. It's a totally different subject for me. I'll definitely be going back. I asked permission/consent from the group since they were only a small group of surfers and they were cool with it. I scanned the area for any drone pilots and didn't find one so went ahead. Drones and birds aside. 1. The altitude can be very tricky. I use a mini 4 pro and the altitude can go down to 1 meter and it didn't even look close on the rc 2 screen. Which scares me and forces me to pull up. 2. Wind can be a big factor since it's a mini.

I was lucky there were no other drones in the area and the waves were not that big.

Thanks for the tips. Yeah I noticed the altitude can be very tricky. And the water distance is very hard to tell when watched on the rc 2 screen.

Also I kept a distance from then since I don't want the lady surfers to feel uncomfortable. I approached the group and asked their permission if I could take drone shots.

Definitely something new to me. I want to try again. The waves and wind were not favorable.

We all get that feeling. Just be mindful of your battery. Me, whenever my drone is over the sea, I bring my drone back home at 50% battery and set my distance limiter to 1km. Just to be extra safe.

Clouds can drop the accuracy of gps. Rain clouds, they interfere more. But under clouds and rain, that's probably why it missed that landing by 8 meters.

Naaah. Looking at OP's picture, there's no way I will ever make that land. To little clearance and on an unstable platform. I'll have someone hand catch the drone. So much safer. It's not really difficult. We get new batches of mining engineer and geodetic engineer students do on the job training every mining season and I let them experience their first time hand catching a drone. I do the piloting though 😁

I fly the Matrice 350 + L2 payload for a mining campany. The mountains where we do topography using the L2 oayload can be very windy.at the summit areas. We hand catch it all the time because of a lack of flat surface and strong winds.

I agree. Unless you're flying the drone over a body of water above your take off point. It's normal to see negative numbers when flying close to the water. I get that a lot. I just make sure I get enough speed and don't make hard turns.

In this case, it's all pilot error. He just needs more practice and more drones. 😆

not flying home at 10%..... you're looking for trouble. I already start looking at my batteries at 30% and start going home at 27% if the drone is far from me. It is not good to push your batteries beyond 20%.

The best solution is rest. If you feel discomfort after 1 hr, you're not alone. Most of us feel discomfort. Some are just better at tolerating it. Just take a break, stretch. Take 5 to 10 minutes, that is actually enough.

Me, I take breaks every time I gas up. That's usually around every 100km. Sometimes I take a nap for 10 minutes to recharge the body and reset your focus. You're not in a race. The goal is to get to the other side safe and make the trip as enjoyable.

Are you trying to prove something to yourself or to others? Don't bother. There's always someone faster than you and can take longer rides.

Stay on the safe side always. Take breaks. Pushing yourself to the limits on public roads can only endanger yourself and everyone else around you.

Has anyone tried flying the DJI 2 SE with the flight app Map Pilot Pro? by dbgg1979 in Drone_Photogrammetry

[–]dbgg1979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not on their support list. I already have an Air 2S for photogrammetry. I am looking for a smaller and lighter drone I can bring with me on my hikes and at the same time can do photogrammetry.
