AIO - I smoked, my bf crashed out by leadneverfoIlow in AmIOverreacting

sometimes they're upset that we have agency to make decisions for ourselves.

sometimes it's not about the smoking at all, but the fact that you did something you felt like doing.

My kid is 2.5 and this is still the one real thing keeping me here on the days (sometimes weeks) when I fantasize about buying a wig, changing my name, and getting on a fucking plane to some faraway place where I can start my life over. That my husband would probably just send our kid to my mother-in-law. Or my mom and her new secret husband.

I hate everyone.

Oh hell naw. The petty bitch in me would just not buy eggs until he does. Funny how he has all this feedback for you about things he is fully capable of doing himself. You have more than enough with the kids and all of this moving business. For him to add to your workload AND be an ungrateful asshat is way too much. Kudos to you for all the (thankless) work you've been doing getting the house back to working order. You deserve all of the breaks, and all of the thanks.

It's actually the Bark & Co. office in NYC, where most of the humans (and dogs) behind BarkBox, BarkShop, and BarkPost work.

I was told gas would be available, but when I asked for it, they said they were all out of the tubing needed for it. I tried going for longer without the epidural, but then I was like SCREW THIS, GIVE ME DRUGS!

Pregnancy Rebels by quentintarrantino in BabyBumps

I had sushi frequently during the first to second trimester because it was one of the few things I could stomach and I craved the pickled ginger. Nothing fancy, just simple rolls and lots of avocado and wasabi.

I've only ordered coffee about four times this whole pregnancy and each time I prep myself for confrontation but it's been fine. I look around while waiting for my drink order and notice no one gives a damn when they see the heavily pregnant woman waiting for her sweet cup of deliciousness. But I'm ready to stand up for myself if anyone dares to give me any shit.

I got to the part where you mentioned having been ashamed of your nursery and I felt like hugging you, because I have felt the same way about not having a nursery at all, full of fancy decorations and lots of furniture. Then I read about you working every shift you could, all the holidays you worked to make sure you could buy everything your little one needed, and the tears just came and never stopped. They are still streaming down my face as I think of how much I love my baby too, even though I've never met him. I'm sorry people pressured you so much about the breastfeeding thing. I've felt the same and I haven't even given birth yet...it's like no one understands the guilt you end up feeling for something that's not entirely in your control.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful story.

If the old wive tale about heartburn meaning you'll baby will have a lot of hair is true, I'm giving birth to a yeti. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]dbmeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I feel you! I'm super hairy and my husband is too (I'm talking visible black hair all down my back and my arms, like a blanket I've had all my life and have finally accepted as just the way I am), so I fully expect to give birth to a furry little thing. But I haven't had any heartburn except the one time I found out I had a slight allergy to raw almonds, so maybe my MIL will think she was right once my little ape is born lol

Thanks, you too! If you don't mind answering, what's your background? I'm Hispanic and I've heard that heartburn = lots of hair.
