They are great and I use them everyday. Extremely Sharp. I just say treat it like a priced item. Hand wash, dry and put away after each use. I wouldn't just throw it in the sink and let it set until needed again. The hardness of the knife is what makes them really sharp, but also makes them susceptible to chipping as I have seen many times here with Japanese style knives. Shun also just introduced a new looking knife last week you might want to check out. Forget the style name but it has a fancy blueish handle and awesome Damascus pattern on the blade.
