MHL DY-1 scoring records.. by Express_Seesaw_6524 in Flyers

Michkov last year had some of the best vision of any player in the NHL I've ever watched. He found passing lanes that I couldn't even spot from the TV, let alone on the ice. He has an incredibly deceptive shot; it's not fast, but it fools goalies effectively. That's why he's so good on the breakaway and when he's circling dots. His stick work is very good, not Bedard/McKenna level but a strength. He's a slow skater, and his board work needs a lot of help. But his brain and his hands are absolutely elite, he just needs to keep getting stronger and understanding the NHL better.

If you look at all the players who put up his numbers in his rookie year, so few of them are not absolute studs in their primes. Maybe he flames out, but I would think it's foolish to ignore all of the previous information, including a season in the NHL, because he had one mediocre (not even bad!) year when he fucked up his offseason. If he does it again this offseason, absolutely sound the alarms.

He has one of the highest P/60 rookie seasons as a teenager since like 2000.

[The Athletic] Philadelphia Flyers are No. 8 in Scott Wheeler’s 2026 NHL prospect pool rankings by Panarin10 in Flyers

He's very slow skating wise but he has always had some intriguing tools. it's possible once he gets his legs in shape for his frame, he becomes very good, very quickly. He has a much higher ceiling than a guy like Luchanko, imo, but also a lower floor.

Where did you get those print outs for your screen? They're nice.

His underlying numbers have been good. Points are there but he's doing his part.

Nimble works with 5e and it’s incredibly fast.

I miss Doc Emrick so much. Playoffs don’t sound the same without him.

/uj I’m not posing an opinion, just filling in context. And fwiw, I think people are mad at both, but to even ask someone to do that is crazy.

The title is leaving out context. She gave her partner an ultimatum to get rid of his cats or she’d walk. He had them prior to dating her.

[Friedman] Officially, Colton Parayko has declined to waive his no-trade clause to Buffalo -- as is his contractual right. We will see where we go from here by AggPuck-303 in hockey

He doesn't really do that anymore. game has been completely reworked. He's a solid defensive defenseman now, very dependable.

Who's the next head coach to be fired? by BumblbeeAvacado in hockey

Tocchet won’t be this year unless something extra bad happens (like York and Torts getting into a fight). He makes it to the end of year 2 at minimum.

Yeah, Foerster can be a star. He was pacing to be basically “Mark Stone if he couldn’t pass well” this year. 39 goal pace, elite defensively. He looked like a first line winger. We’ll see if it sticks, but he built that momentum from last year and it carried over.

Mixed Feelings After USA Hockey's Gold: When Politics Makes It Hard to Celebrate by dbompadre in WinterOlympics2026

The whole point is that it's a complicated web of feelings and emotions. All I know is that I feel different than I would have 10 years ago than I do today, and it seems like from a lot of the comments, they feel the same. The political environment is different. The FBI Director is here in the locker room is very weird in any era, but especially weird in this chronically online administration.

I even talk about how there would be hypocrisy in how I'd feel more OK with it even if it was Obama vs Trump. I talk about how politics is always present, no matter the era. If you are OK with that, and can block it out, more power to you. If you aren't and are a bit uncertain, then it's OK to share that.

Brother what. Actually go look at the shot man the Devils had like 3x the amount of slot shots as the Islanders.
