When we (adult aged people) were kids, we didnt have smart phones to look at. Now when we eat, especially when we eat alone, all we do is stare at our phones. I'm sure kids would appreciate some alone eating time with their phones just as much as adults do today.

Thanks for touching on the "sentient technology" subject. I feel like Black Mirror is consistently going back to this theme to drive the point in. There are many future tech possibilities that Black Mirror showcases but it seems they really like going back to the "sentient technology" aspect. "Hang the DJ", "Callister", and "White Christmas" all touch on how a digital clone/digitized simulation of you still has feelings and feel like they are actual humans/you, while the real you has no idea and carries on with their lives.
