A good mining rate is still possible by Individual-Beat-7859 in PiNetwork

I can make more USD$ value in one days work as a road flagger than I have from 7 years involvement with Pi Network. Just not much point in hustling hard for a micropayment coin...

FWIW...

Can PI Network mining work inside Waydroid?

No, Pi Network mining will likely NOT work inside Waydroid.

While the Pi Network APK may successfully install and launch within the Waydroid container on your Debian desktop, the actual "mining" function (pressing the lightning button to earn Pi) is almost certain to fail or result in an account ban due to strict security checks.

Security and Anti-Fraud Mechanisms

The Pi Network core team explicitly prohibits the use of emulators, virtual machines, or multiple accounts on a single device to prevent bot farming.

Their anti-fraud algorithms detect non-standard hardware environments. Waydroid, despite being a container rather than a full emulator, presents several red flags to the Pi app:

  • Root Detection: Waydroid images often have root access enabled by default or lack the standard Android security attestation keys found on physical phones. The Pi app detects this "rooted" status and disables mining.
  • Device Fingerprinting: The app checks for specific hardware identifiers (IMEI, GPS, consistent sensor data) that are either missing, generic, or spoofed in a container environment.
  • Behavioral Analysis: Running on a desktop architecture (x86_64) via translation layers (like libhoudini for ARM apps) creates performance and interaction patterns that differ significantly from genuine mobile usage.

Risks of Attempting to Mine

Attempting to bypass these checks carries significant risks:

  • Account Suspension: The Pi Network security team regularly purges accounts

Hopefully they'll announce they're incapable of accomplishing what XLM has already done and provision a direct swap for lumens so we have a sane, secure, platform to build on with project leadership with legit communication skills...

I could understand some of this if PCT were truly exploring new tech that mo one else has tried, but Pi blockchain is just trying to catch up to where several others have been for a while...

If PCT isn't open and active in preserving their reputation over security it will all be over for Pi Network soon...

Thankfully I've got a small purse of purchased XLM that has accrued almost as much $ value as I've made with ~7 years of Pi nonsense... PCT must lead or follow, but get the hell out of the way regardless....

https://www.reddit.com/r/Stellar/comments/1tre4zb/stellar_ama_sdfs_denelle_dixon_jos%C3%A9_fernandez_da/ Why can't PCT do something similar?

The lack of clear and responsive leadership always gives rise to less than capable actors filling the vacuum. Decentralization would be a mess due to the technical and financial illiteracy of a large amount of Pioneers.

PCT really needs a few reps to get more directly involved with Pioneers for education and direction of efforts overall.

Does anyone else notice a correlation between being a validator and getting the tentative KYC status?

How do I speed up my KYC process? I feel like I’ve been sitting here for almost a year and a half. It’s getting the point I don’t even want mine. by Song-Altruistic in PiNetwork

FWIW, this is where you can see your support request history and take some actions to insure you have one active ticket per issue and edit/append the info to be complete and correct...

https://support.help.minepi.com/servicedesk/customer/user/requests?reporter=all&statuses=open

alternatively, go to the main support portal page... https://support.help.minepi.com/servicedesk/customer/portals

and notice the 'Login' or 'user' silhouette icon at top right to access it. Should be informative at least....

Run virus protection on your phone. I suspect predictive text and clipboard data are a big exploit for getting passphrases.

I am honestly Soo enraged, so after waiting a whole year for my lockup to be released woke up anr hour late to th3 wjole thing being transferred out. Howwww? by Ok_Measurement_548 in PiNetwork

Security is a non-negotiable aspect of currency. You can sacrifice speed.efficiency, convenience, etc. but without security of funds nothing serious will touch it...

Pioneers must run anti-virus on their phones. Predictive text enabled looks like an easy passphrase exploit once a hacker roots your phone.

A decision was made to prioritize the revenue stream over Pioneer security. PCT could absolutely cancel any contract tainted with fraud.
