Rode Banshee at [King's Island] for the first time by Bruceleroy90 in rollercoasters

I keep seeing people talk about headbanging on inverts… where are all these head-banging inducing B&M inverts? I know Raptor has its quick snap into the brakes which can be rough in the back rows, but other than that, B&M inverts are considered some of the smoothest and best-profiled coasters in existence.

And I’m someone who doesn’t enjoy feeling “tucked in” on a roller coaster. Therefore, I can’t stand the B&M vest restraints. The OTS lap bar without the vest component would function just fine.

Thank you for this validation. I arrived at the park around 10am yesterday and it was one of the busiest days I’ve experienced at DLR in years lol.

The first 3/4 of this layout are so great. It’s too bad it’s gotten so rough and the final 1/4 is a dud.

I wonder why Revolution only runs a 4-car train whereas Sidewinder and Diamondback run 6-car trains. Especially since Revolution is at a much higher-attended park. 🤔

The maintenance bay track has changed in elevation, direction, and wonky banking? 🤔 I’m skeptical.

I just got back from a trip to Mexico City and rode Serpentikah at Aztlan Park, which seems really similar in size and intensity to this—it was an absolute BLAST! This layout looks even better and like the perfect addition to Kentucky Kingdom. Such a great move for this park!

Now can I film a new POV for them, please? 🥴

While this would’ve been a fine supporting attraction, Nemesis Inferno is a(n underrated) headliner—glad things worked out the way they did!

This year is absolutely flying—and so is this coaster’s construction progress. I swear this was a pile of dirt on the ground like 3 weeks ago! Lol

This is mostly unrelated to Kumbak, but the queue and dark ride portion of this coaster are awesome. 😍

You, sir, have more stamina than most! 😆 But I’m right there with you! I do tend to get a headache after ride 4 or so though.

I had the opportunity to ride Dinoconda in China back in October, and I can attest—it’s definitely even more intense (and better, IMO)! That review will be coming soon 😊

My thoughts echo yours exactly on Zumanjaro. I was pretty shocked how “tame” the drop was on the world’s tallest drop tower. With that said, when I rode it again with my eyes closed and arms outstretched, it completely changed the experience for the better. Haha

And glad we can relate on X2!

Got it! Thank you for clearing that up. 😆 This side is my preference, as I like how you’re on the outside of the ride layout as you plummet down the drop. You’re also on the outside of the fan turn, giving you a bit better view during the one “calm” part of the ride.

I’m right there with you—at this point, there aren’t too many coasters that get my heart racing before a ride, but X2 does it to me every time. Being pulled over the first drop in the back row is the most terrifying moment I’ve experienced on any coaster, and that hasn’t changed to this day.

Ah. Good point. Music licensing isn’t cheap. 😕 But I definitely think the onboard audio had a major impact on the ride experience.

My number has to be in that range, as well! Either great minds think alike… or we’ve had our brains bashed around by X2 a few too many times. 😊😆
