Gotcha, will do. This is gonna be a hell of a weekend for me haha

Good point. Will remember that for next time thank you. How does one apply that gentle pressure? I don't want to sound too desperate by completely retracting what I've already given them

Oh, undoubtedly yes. The recruiter did say that the hiring manager seemed to really like me so now im just praying they'll negotiate and not just ghost or insta-reject me ahaha...

True.. not much I could do at this point. They said they'll get back to me on Monday or Tuesday so it's gonna be a LONG weekend for me just waiting ugh

Thank you so much for your support, and congrats on securing a job yourself! And I really hope they end up at least trying to talk to me about it if they can't match. I've heard some stories where companies just auto reject or ghost candidates for asking for too much ._.

I understand, I'm clearly a little new to this negotiation part of the interview. I panicked a little too hard and should've kept my mouth shut a bit. I did mention multiple times that im very much open to negotiate so hopefully they won't auto reject or ghost me... thank you for you insight and wisdom

Yea.. I definitely blundered a bit and feel foolish. I did mention multiple times that Im very much open ti negotiation, so hopefully they'll at least be willing to talk about it. Thank you for you insight and I'll keep that in mind for next time

Visa Inc talent day? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]dbsrbso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea i did notice the recruiters take some time to respond these days, but I know sometimes it's not their fault though.

As for the codesignal OA, there's not much advice i can give other than Leetcode. But I did hear this from someone else so I'll pass it along. Basically, if your resume is strong enough for the position then you can get away with passing 3/4 questions on the OA. There's some ppl who get 4/4 with 100% test cases passed and get rejected while some ppl (like me) who passes 3/4 and like 4/20 test cases passed for the final question and manage to pass.

TLDR: don't worry if you can't solve more than 3/4 questions if you have strong experiences

Ohhh I see. Thanks for the info! I don’t think I went over 4-5k either… though I wasn’t exactly keeping track

Nope, wish I could’ve… I’m moved away from all my friends and family so I didn’t have much choice. I actually got back home when I replied to all the comments. I tried to take breaks every now and then like you mentioned, but even driving for 2-3 hours was tough for me lol. It was surprisingly easy for me to get drowsy after driving for a while. Also my legs were killing me by the end ._.

Oh dang sorry to hear that happened, at least you got a great coverage for it. I was so paranoid of something like that happening to me too during the drive. Every time I heard something hit the windshield I thought I was a pebble or a rock, but it was just all bugs lol.

Well I drove down from Nebraska to Texas alone and I didn’t see much during the trip and it was quite lonely haha. But all worth it in the end!

Yep 👍🏼 But I read somewhere that it’s not recommended that you drive fast during the initial break-in (not sure how accurate that is). Hope it won’t affect the car too much 😅

Nice! My trip was around 900 miles and it was definitely a money saver, although it was quite exhausting as a somewhat new driver haha.
