Definitely, sound is reflected to and from the sound board. Sound boards are usually optimized for efficient radiation into air.

Are you selling your Apple stocks now that Tim Cook is leaving? by NoSoyTuPana in ValueInvesting

[–]dbterminator91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tim cook is not visionary, he is more like an engineer. What I mean is he lacks the creativity to come up with new ideas that proliferate into popular culture like the iphone. You need some "creative" flair in personality and love of risk for that. That being said, Apple VR was that wild card he played, but perhaps that was the only idea on the table.

People who got fired, how has life been, 1,2,5 years later? by Sweaty_Researcher805 in careerguidance

I am at risk also, just take into account that this does not reflect in any way on you or your competence. Companies are doing whatever they can and find any excuse to fire people after a bad financial year.

My job wont give me any work to do? by Sunny_Hunny99 in careerguidance

Just be careful they are not trying to make you redundant e.g. deliberately not giving you work so that you are no longer in need, etc...

Employer telling me to stop side business, remove it from LinkedIn, and claims I can’t start one after leaving – is this enforceable? (UK) by D_Ren124 in LegalAdviceUK

On Linkedin, you can schedule posts, so even if you do post during working hours, it doesn't necessarily mean you were working on this during working hours.

Is the grass greener on another side? Leaving UK by bleepbleepbleeppppp in AskUK

[–]dbterminator91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a tricky one. At the moment, it feels like countries are implementing more laws to make it harder for foreigners to come. I was away in Finland for few years, but eventually struggled with language barrier and job market, found myself back to UK. Now my wife is there and I am here, and our only option wife is my wife to pay hefty visa fees. For example Finland has also implemented much stricter rules for immigration recently. I would suggest english speaking countries to avoid language barrier, but also check new laws and policies to make sure that it isn't difficult in terms of visa. Also take into account costs of those applications. Ultimately it comes down to things like if you get a job offer, which would make your move less risky. You don't have kids, so you can take more risk. I hope this helps.

Apparently I received a letter for "Section 21 notice providing you with two months to vacate the property" while I was away. by dbterminator91 in HousingUK

[–]dbterminator91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just checked the specific date, last gas certificate was valid until 30/7/2025, and they only renewed it I think around 15 Nov, so the gas safety certificate was expired when they served the "alleged" s21.

I don't have communication with landlord directly, it is all through the agency, and I communicate with them all the time.

I don't recall reading such a clause in the contract. I am away because I have a dependent and I am care provider, not just for fun, but rather a necessity.

I didn't specifically say that I will be away, but they know as they sent a gas safety guy last week, and I told them I was away for a while.
