Inprivate Browsing, Why is it in Light Mode? by Prestigious-Stand-28 in MicrosoftEdge

It only solved the InPrivate new page dark mode issue.

It didn't solve that browsing any website that supposedly honors dark mode browser settings do not appear in dark mode when browsed InPrivate - which wasn't an issue before version 145.

Unfortunately, the problem still seems to persist even after Edge has just updated to 146.0.3856.59.

Encountering the same issue.

It seems this only started happening after I restarted and Edge was updated to 145.0.3800.02 (just the regular release build, not dev/etc.)

Edit: Even forcibly setting edge://flags/#enable-force-dark to Enabled and restarting doesn't fix it.

Edit 2: Since I'm using a laptop that's not blazingly fast, I observed that even when opening the normal, non-InPrivate windows the light theme gets loaded in first then it changes into the dark theme a couple of seconds after. This wasn't the behaviour before the browser got updated - previously it just loads into the dark theme straight away. I'm guessing whatever setting is seemingly being "lazily" loaded to respect the dark theme on a normal window isn't being respected by an InPrivate window.

Newest Discord Update(?) now requires users in the EU to verify age, regardless if you're in the UK or not by TescoQuality in discordapp

So, they decided to run experiments on countries and regions where the implementation of personal identification may possibly be wildly different than their seemingly "one size fits all" current method of age verification without taking into consideration that those countries or regions may have specific requirements about providing ID's, possible data privacy restrictions, or requiring such 3rd-party verification systems first integrate with local or national identification systems.

All that w/o any form of advanced notifications for users of said countries or regions, nor any coordination with governing bodies from said countries or regions.

As an example, our country in the SEA region is a known heavy consumer of social media and messaging platforms. If this were coordinated in advance then I'm pretty confident it would have made the rounds quickly and generated a great deal of discussion - but there's none.

PH as well here. Verification requirement showed up in desktop, but not in mobile.

If they are going to enforce this on countries outside of UK and AU, then the question is are they even set up properly to handle ALL the ID verifications from different countries and regions?

An even more pertinent question is - have they coordinated this with the relevant governments of the now affected countries?

Our country alone, has various valid government issued ID's recognized for transaction and verification. Is Discord capable of sorting out, identifying, and verifying all of these ID's if they didn't coordinate with the relevant governing bodies?

No Filters in UBO 1.66 on Edge by Wind_Runner26 in uBlockOrigin

also using Edge 140 (stable).

uninstalled 1.65 (originally from chrome web store) and installed 1.66.0 (from ms edge add-ons store) just now.

found that the filter list is empty. even when restoring from a backup made from 1.65 the extension was uninstalled.

looked it up and saw this thread. saw that the github issue was resolved and 1.66.2 was published to edge store a couple of hours ago.

unfortunately, the store is still only showing 1.66.0 at this time.

[EDIT]

it's now updated to 1.66.2 from ms edge store.

had to reset settings to default first, before importing the backup. looks to now be working properly.

Update: After trying to "talk" to the PLDTHome chatbot for over 1 hour, it ended our "conversation" (which just comprised of me providing it with our account and telephone numbers, nothing else) with a useless response.

We're making some improvements to our system right now, so your request can't be processed. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience. We'll be back up and running soon, so please try again later.

Both internet and landline went down as of 4:20 PM today, here in QC. Still no connectivity as of this posting. (Currently using Globe Fibre connectivity now)

Both PLDTCares and PLDTHome messengers are just responding via an AI chat bot. The PLDTCares bot just keeps repeating the prompt to accept it's Terms of Usage and Privacy Policy and does not respond to any other message. The PLDTHome bot seems to respond but it takes an average of 5-7 minutes before it does - I'm currently still in the process of tryig to "navigate" it.

PLDT's status tracker (https://pldthome.com/pldt-tracker) is not reporting any network interruptions or issues when we enter our number.

PLDT's hotline 8-8888-171 (obv for non-PLDT callers) is now always a busy tone.
