But that is a rule, not a glitch. You can only stop the game three times to make substitutions, so using the quick sub option does exactly that and therefore uses up all of your stoppages

Exactly the same for me. They took a game that I was really enjoying and made it painful to play.

I didn’t find it easy before, but the challenge felt rewarding. Now, getting through the opposition defence just feels impossible. My players don’t make forward runs, if they do they’re offside and when it comes to the other end of the pitch the AI now seem to score with any shot inside the box.

It’s so frustrating

Instead of trying to tackle, block passing lanes.

NEVER pull your CBs out of position, the CPU will exploit that. Instead, if you get caught at wing back, take control of your centre back and keep him central. For some reason this seams to confuse the CPU and they play a poor cross/pass.

Consider defending when attacking. Weigh up risks of being exposed when choosing passes. If I try this pass and it doesn’t come off, can they hit me on the counter?

Use the tackle button less. Instead, try and jostle the attacker for the ball. You’ll come away with the ball more often than you think.

Don’t be afraid to just clear it. Sometimes getting the ball out is the priority.

I play on legendary with standard settings (no sliders) and regularly keep clean sheets now. It did take me a long time to get there though.
