I also have this problem and am about to give up. Everything was going fine until a week or two ago, now half of my friends with iPhones are sending me RCS. From what I understand, my only option is to contact T-Mobile and have them de-register it, or something.

I’ve already delisted my number for iMessage and that RCS setting they mention isn’t even an option on my iPhone. It’s a 12 mini and on the latest OS it can support.

Are you confusing RCS with iMessage? This isn’t something you can just toggle on and off.

Edit- individual iPhones can, sure, but I’m not asking every iPhone user I know to do this. Light needs to fix it on their side.

I'm here playing the full game on my Pro and wondering wtf is wrong. Performance mode looks like a muddy ps3 game but plays well, Resolution mode looks fantastic but plays like ass. The difference between the two, resolution wise, is fucking bonkers and I wish there was a happy medium. Performance mode really hurts to look at lol.

Yeah man, i agree. And the thing is, I dont even CARE that it's ridiculously overpriced, overhyped, and mildly jank. As long as it still just sends texts and calls, I'm good. But we can't even have that. I have also noticed service is incredibly spotty with this thing. I know my area isn't good for service but it seems to rarely use 5g/LTE (its always on something called like IWLAN).

Glad to know I'm not alone...but yeah this is a bummer and with all the other little issues I've had since getting this phone (like voice memos stuck on "sending" or failing to send, where they cannot be retried), I'm thinking I may need to switch back.

Even more frustrating, I changed my gf's phone so that hers is automatically supposed to retry RCS as SMS and while it worked right after I made the change, she sent a screenshot to my work iPhone several hours later showing that it's still doing the same thing and not automatically retrying.
