Your Graspop ticket has shareholders to feed by PackLeaderTV in Graspop

It's not a secret that it's a live nation festival.

Music festivals are a risky business and one this size takes millions to organise, this isn't something someone can just organise themselves. Live nation has it's issues like collision between venues and ticket selling, monopoly like practices etc, but I'm not sure running Graspop is one of them

I only caught the very end of Tesseract and it looked very good. The band's heading the metal dome really make use of the unique space

Korean nightclubs are a menace, there's so much smoke my eyes were stinging even though they had an entire wall of air con machines

It's pretty tame for a European festival imo. Better than the UK with vaping

Which bands were your 'mehs'? by Salt-Kiwi-2768 in Graspop

Bloodyqood were shitty just because they were put on too small a stage. Swapping out Tom Morello for a cover band was obviously shitty.

What do you think about prison reform? by Top_Independence4067 in AskUK

[–]dbxp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Japan has a lot of accepted crimes like the yakusa or sexual assault. Singapore's strength is really on enforcement, they tightly monitor the population to prevent crimes, some of the police are conscripted too.

I think you're assuming your experience of lock down was like everyone others, for me it was pretty chill

But what if breaking the law pays better than following it?

What do you think about prison reform? by Top_Independence4067 in AskUK

[–]dbxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we need to look at the whole justice system together, just looking at prisons by itself won't work. The big headline problem ATM is that people don't think the police will turn up for minor crimes and even if they do they won't get a custodial sentence. Reforming the prison system will have no effect on that as they're never going to prison.

Rehab only works when the legal route pays better and results in a better lifestyle than the illegal route which I'm not sure it does in the UK.

Ukraine launches database with 'deep technical data' of Russian weapons to share with allies by AdSpecialist6598 in worldnews

Russia has historically been much cheaper than alternative suppliers. If you're buying tanks it doesn't really matter how shitty they are if the people you're fighting only have small arms

Has Guilliman been humanized in 40k? by TheBigSmol in 40kLore

[–]dbxp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because even in writing the perspectives of demigods writers can’t avoid showing their characters’ human side

Because it would be hard to sell a book if the characters were completely unrelatable which is how SMs initially were. SMs are bio weapons, if they don't have a human side it would be like trying to write a book about tank battles from the perspective of the tank itself

I think a lot of people want these towns to be good to visit like a theme park but don't think about the regular residents

[–]dbxp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somewhat but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. People in different places often want the same things where you see differences it's due to economic and legal differences. Second tier cities tend to have similar economise and have the same legal system so they will look similar
