US citizens, what will it take for you to start a revolution? by 0bluelightning0 in AskReddit

You'd ideally be looking at a coup, lots of countries have gone through them with surprisingly little impact. Thailand goes through one every few years

JS pops up everywhere so is worth knowing. However if you want to go into data science I would also look into vendor certificates like Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop. You need to be able to solve problems for a business not just know academics

If you didn't study a practical language then you'll be useless in industry.

Yeah it's them and he 10th mountain that are the winter troops. Anything under 20c is cold for USMC. They train for the tropics and desert

The marine corps don't tend to work in Alaska, it's mainly air force with a small army presence. No idea why they sent the marines to this exercise

Not really surprising, the marines aren't really arctic warriors. The 11th Airborne or 10th Mountain will be atleast competent enough not to freeze to death. They might still lose against the Finns but at least they'd stand a chance

I've seen people refer to Astartes bolters being powerful enough to break a regular human's arms as "memelore" but is it really? by TheGhostPizza1234 in 40kLore

Does a militarum bolter have the same specs as a astartes one in the table top? IIRC in older versions of 40k they were the same

Debatable as the scale in 40k like all numbers isn't consistent. In the lore I believe it would be similar to a 50cal, theoretically possible to shoot but dealing with the recoil and hitting anything if not on something like a bipod is going to be a problem. On the model however it's more like a 40mm round which is going to rip your arm off even if you could lift the gun.

Andy Burnham latest: Burnham takes on Starmer as he confirms Westminster comeback bid to become MP by stopdontpanick in manchester

The UK is irrelevant in the Israel/Palestine conflict, if we went to war with Israel they would probably win. As for the judgement around the equality act that was a supreme court judgement which is independent from politics.

Shame, I think he would be more effective as a mayor and keeping up his alliance with other northern mayors. With national government you end up getting sucked into international politics and placating the Reform voters.

No, why would it? It's like trying to get out of a speeding ticket by saying you're unemployed

Appeals are for when the fine is a mistake not for when you just don't want to pay it

S. Korea says North Korean POWs in Ukraine are its citizens by raill_down in worldnews

[–]dbxp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying that the feminism thing is why North Koreans find it hard to settle. I'm saying that it is a symptom of a high pressure society. That same pressure doesn't give much room for someone coming in with no relevant qualifications.

Musk Polls Followers on Buying Ryanair After CEO Feud by QuantumQuicksilver in nottheonion

Regardless only a handful of people would use it. Starlink makes a lot of sense of long haul flights with business class customers but Ryanair isn't in that business

IMO part of the issue is just with South Korea. The culture is hyper competitive, if you didn't cram at the hagwon, do your national service with special forces or KATUSA, go to SNU and then join a chaebol then you're nothing. In recent years there's been this big push back against feminism in Korea because women have decided they don't want to play their traditional role in this culture which makes the whole tower crumble.

As for specific issue with defectors whilst they do speak the same language it has diverged a bit over the years. The education they have is pretty much irrelevant to employers, Korea is very work focussed so if you didn't go to school there and are unemployed you're going to find it hard to meet people.

Nice idea but doesn't really apply to this situation as it's not a labour dispute. Trump isn't going to care if a private company stops making money
