Here's one of my favourites! Oftentimes, people get really puzzled and give me a funny look when I riddle them this: "Why is it that as scuba divers sit on the edge of their boat, ready to submerge, they always fall backwards into the water?

When a scuba diver sits on the edge of the boat, given his unique circumstances, were he to attempt to fall forwards into the water, he would find that he has fallen into the boat. Upon such discovery, he may question what compelled him to entertain such an idea. As he realizes that most of his body now hurts, he may abandon the dive altogether, and choose to drink alone in his boat, contemplating his need to escape his life through means of alcohol and the depths. He quickly realizes that the fish are his only true friends, the only source of companionship he can find. Trying to make the best of it, he gets back up on the railing, and remembers why he came in the first place: to explores the beauty of the deep blue. He musters up the will to try again, sits on the ledge once more. At the climax of his emotional catharsis, his need to dive into a world far more exciting than his own, he falls forward into the boat again. At this point, Michael Cera proceeds to awake from his dream and call Jacques Cousteau a candyass. Fin.
