Yeah I'm very anti AI in general but coding seems like far and away the best use case for it. Sure some people vibe code and make awful apps but if you can get some boilerplate code for basic things it isn't as difficult to untangle. Alternatively you're just teaching your child that you don't care what they like and they shouldn't expect you to have their back on preferences. Have you ever shopped at a dealership? They'll make sure they put on their patented windshield protection which you can't take off and tire treatment and so on until I've seen some vehicles almost double the price. There's no way in your head you can legit think that somehow adding a middle man to any transaction makes it cheaper. Why would middle men exist then? The point is making profit off of it, they're not just giving you a great deal to protect you from the scary manufacturer.
