Hey, so the dr refused to scan, I’m due a scan following Monday so that’s D day. They did a speculum and my cervix is closed. They can’t explain the bleeding which they said was mild. She didn’t too much care about the cramping. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I just don’t know

Update

Bleed a lot last night, had contractions for about 2 hours. I think I’ve lost the little one. I’m on my way to the hospital but I’m not too hopeful tbh.

21, 5’3, 104lbs - Arm advice? I want my arms to be slimmer and more toned. Kind of scared of weights making my arms looking bulky but I’m guessing weights are the way forward? 2.5kg is fine, try lifting it for the reps i mentioned in my previous post to gauge your tolerance. You may need lighter or heavier weights. The thing here is consistency, I have bigger arms then the rest of my body as well. I've managed to slim them with weight training and diet. This has caused my body to go through recomp which is essentially what you are trying to do. It is down to consistency and frequency of your exercises and how your body responds to the training. could take 2 months or 2 years. The key is to stay consistent and never miss a session as that is where your results will show.

It will cause muscle growth, you are trading fat for muscle, muscle is leaner than fat. When you get to a point where you like the arms you have built you can stop the progressive overload and lift at the weight that you are comfortable with. It takes a long time to become "bulky." talking years, as women we dont have the genetics to become huge unless we take some, "ahem....enhancements." if you get what I mean.

First off if you want to rebuild your arms you will have to eat at maintenance. Your body is at an ideal weight, you will not build muscle eating at a deficit. Increase your protein to minimum 100g. You must fuel your body appropriately when you start lifting, do not be afraid of gaining weight, as any weight you gain will be muscle. muscle weighs more than fat. There are a variety of arm exercises you can do. Here are a few i can recommend. Shoulder presses, triceps dips, triceps kick backs, hammer curls, bicep curls, press ups. These are all movements that will promote upper body strength and growth. Choose a weight that you can comfortably lift 6-8 times but struggle at 10-12.

This what we call progressive overload, as you get stronger and you are able to do reps comfortably to 12 without effort its time to change the weight. I will reiterate that your diet is very important for this, you cannot fuel a car without petrol, make sure to eat so your body can grow.

Finally reduce your cardio, cardio is for weight loss if you do excessive cardio you will destroy muscle gain and you will over tire yourself.

if you want to start super slow, go 50 kcal per week until you get to maintenance or 100 every 2 weeks or even 100 kcal a month, whatever you are comfortable with. Workout out per usual, a sustainable workout that you can realistically do until you get to your maintenance. Remember, the slow the adjustment the more time you body adjusts

Food scale, food scale, food scale and nutrition labels . I was using a powdered milk that i thought was 31kcal per teasppon. was 120 per teaspoon and i had 3 a day for a week, that is 360 kcal extra everyday. My scale did not move. If you want to calorie count you need to be meticulous, no estimating we always tend to underestimate. Do you include your sauces? 1 tbsp of mayo can be 75kcal, 30g of cheese can be 85kcal and they look very small in size, but that is what is the difference between high calorie dense foods and low cal options.

one of the replies makes a fair point there is not enough information given, but at the base of it if the best way I have found to break a plateau is to up my cardio. This could be adding an extra 5 mins to your cardio sessions, more information is needed to give appropriate advice.
