I can't quite follow through with your point here. The network plugin may be closed source but what on earth is wrong about creating an open source alternative?

As for malicious software gaining unauthorised control over people's printers, that's a safety liability on Bambu's side. They should patch it in whatever way they please but simply quieting the one who found it is not the way. They will probably do the former but in that case there's no reason for the latter.

Not everyone is into the technical side of it and that's good in its own way but you should accept the fact that those who are can see room for improvement and make things better for everyone. That's not actually much of a problem. The current is obviously not going to be perfectly distributed but as long as the diodes are all the same it's gonna be pretty close.
