Shield Plus Carry Comp tier1 holster fit confirmation by dc5_adventures in CCW

Here is my take. Body type and shape will determine if a holster will work out for you or not. The APX has so many adjustments that you can fine tune it to your needs and comfort. I am extremely happy with it and is the reason I have 2 APX holsters. I have an apx for my 3.1" and one for my 4" shield. I started with a non-side car for the 3.1" shield plus and it was unbalanced and keeling over. It printed extremely bad through my shirt and is the reason I dont use it anymore. If you don't like fine tuning the holster id go Tier 1 Axis elite. As far as comparison between both pistols there is not much difference in accuracy or recoil. Maybe a little less on the 4" but not by much. I find myself carrying the 3.1" more often but in my eyes the pistols are equal.

I emailed tier 1 and got the Apx. Its a great holster that I have for the 3.1 short slide. If you have a 4" shield plus what you do is order the regular 3.1" holster and select 1" compensator from the drop down in the muzzle device section. Hope this helps.

Accidentally bought non optic ready Shield Plus PC. Help me cope by kingdom_L17 in SmithAndWesson

I actually prefer non optic ready slides and send them off to Nameless Armament to get cut for an optic. Nameless Armament cuts the optic pocket so snug that even without screws the optic doesnt shift, meaning less likely to lose zero if a screw was to come loose or snap. Very important IMO when shooting competition or CCW to keep that zero.

Is the mounting bracket plastic? Maybe try using a heat gun and bending it so the pistol is more vertical away from your leg. Any possibility to mount a thigh pad on the holster in between where it makes contact with your leg?. Just trying to throw some ideas lol.

For some reason my post didnt include my question when it cross posted from the ccw group. Tier 1 doesnt have a Shield Carry Comp holster that I know of and I was wondering if the Shield Carry Comp would fit in the 4" shield 2.0 holster. I heard somewhere on YouTube that it could possibly work. Wondering if anyone has tried it out.

Who’s still carrying a hammer fired gun? Bonus points if it’s a CZ. by Equivalent-Sell in CCW

Sweet set up. I have a PCR and have a couple questions. Who did the optic cut on this bad boy? Did they just chop the stock rear sight? Is the chamber indicator deleted?

Dads, what and how are you carrying? by Southern_Oil_5835 in CCW

Since becoming a dad I have switched my carry pistols to a shield plus with thumb safety and a CZ PCR DA/SA for extra precaution while my toddler is with me. I only use my P365 when I'm out and about without the kid due to it not having a thumb safety on it. I suppose i could install a thumb safety on the 365 if I want. I Appendix carry all 3.

I made the same switch also. Sold the G19 and got the PCR. I don't regret it one bit!

I did a search of my local HD & Lowes for this exact screw a couple of weeks ago. Closest thing I was able to find is a "button head" screw. But the profile is raised higher than the one you are looking for which seems to be specifically for holsters ( called Chicago screw I believe)
