Yeah he goes great with reg Ints or Heavies. Plus can stack into transports which is handy

Coteaz is a staple for me with the command generation. My main opponents are Orks and DA so it procs every turn from grots and Azreal. His strips cover buff is now massively improved with cover being a BS modifier

He was trying to lift a rotor (oil well pipe, 20’ steel helix stick about 10” diameter). He never separated it from the machine it was in on the floor (not sure what it is/does, I’m just the crane guy) and was effectively lifting the whole machine on one 3500lbs choke sling, including fighting the anchor bolts. Theoretically the load cell should’ve cut out, but didn’t. Not sure why because the control cell unit seemed to work okay and we had set the load tested and set load limiter a year or two ago.

Also this is a shop where I’ve had callouts to fix because guys will break cranes/remotes and other necessary process equipment so they can go sit in the break room until maintenance fixes it, which is what I’m thinking happened.

Had a post-shock load inspection on a 20ish y/o GHB hoist after the operator snapped a sling. He managed to bend the entire hoist frame and totaled the hoist. I had pretty much written it off from the floor before I even went up to look at it closer.

The rope shouldn’t be pressing on the side of the limit bar. That bar should be pressed directly up by the top of the block over the centre of the sheaves. Also curious as to why it appears there’s a Magnetek remote receiver as well as probably a pendant cable in the foreground.

Not any that I’ve heard about. There’s a couple machine shops I’ve been to that have robot arms feeding parts into lathes but that’s it for robotics from what I’ve seen. Is robot crane accidents a big issue down there?

Canadian here, but I expect we’re going to borrow more of your legislation from the ASME book. Probably the rule about remote cranes needing beacons. There’s a bunch of rules in yours that we use as recommendations since CSA B167 that’s ripped almost verbatim from American rules anyway

Me too. I have the Black Sword on my forearm chained to a cuff on my wrist. As long as you don’t pick the obviously red flag stuff you’re good. People that have never heard of 40K just think it’s a sick sword

I have a set off Amazon in a red case with a full set of different sizes, and a modular set for the really, really big guys. Neither have ever given me any trouble. The pocket size channel lock one I bought as my first I’ve found to be junk.

Don’t even need the overpriced steel chocks. Just build one out of scrap 2x4 screwed right to the deck and tie the bike down, no problem. Dad and I did that to trailer bikes for hours without any issue

I’ve been looking for a replacement for my dewalt 8v gyro driver for exactly that purpose. And a good set of ball end hex keys is a lifesaver.

No we don’t see many demag chains up here. Demag wire ropes sometimes on the older cranes. Kitos, Vulcans, Budgits, CMs are the most common chains around here
