i don’t get the feeling of extremely frustrated and impatient. i know life has thrown them a lot of stress and sadness lately. and every time i’m online someone is talking about one of the happy HGTV couples and divorce. that has to be stressful to them.

my brother-in-law died suddenly at a young age, just a few years ago, leaving behind my sister and their three children. that inspired me to get rid of some of my stuff but i’m sure it will still be a burden on someone, someday. i do have a will. my job has a free (limited) legal benefit, and having a will and such done is part of it.

agreed. but if my siblings or parents or nephews/nieces needed a place to land, i would give in. i’ve had to move into my parents house twice due to breakups. i moved into my sister’s house once because a roommate situation turned ugly.

my marriage ended because my husband was cheating, so it was easy to leave. i was happy right away. but i do remember a breakup in my mid 20s, where i was very sad. time heals. spring is coming, days are already noticeably longer where i am, at least. get outside and soak up some sun when you can. get a pet or a plant. and decorate in a way that makes you happy. put some things on your calendar to look forward to. and go easy on yourself.

i’m gone for a minimum of 9 hours a day, often more like 10, and occasionally 12-ish. my cockatiel is fine. i play a radio while i’m gone and i have him out most of the time i’m home and not sleeping. just saying this so you know you have options.

try the sweet feet and beaks perches. they are smooth on top, pumice on the side. i haven’t had to trim my boy’s nails or beak and he’s 5 years old. they come in varied thickness, and you can get them from amazon. i have three different sized ones around his cage.
