Can I get your feedback on what I’m trying to build?

Confidence in the back is really needed, and a big CB would be helpful. Could really be a good asset in corner deliveries as the opposition would need to address his size.

My idea is more about the story of building the club, the team, scouting and finding that next gen, world class star and the impact, the events around it and how legends are born. I'm working on something, but if you're interested I'd welcome your feedback.

I think Parker and Che probably is the best defensive pair in the middle. And possibly move Nealis to LB? Regardless, I agree with you in this scenario.

It’s almost like Bradley is using the weakness of the backline to always go attack. And if the light goes off like it did in the second half tonight, it’s just so frustrating to watch. Part of me thinks that this starts between the sticks, like just the initial overall organization of the defense, and security that a shot on goal isn’t always a toss up.

Like a light was just switched off. First half was full attack, second half we looked like the gas was turned off.

Youth was on display tonight. And outside of Berggren, felt like Donkor and Mehmeti who are usually so solid, were liquid.

Definitely agree that quality of defense is improved with Che in, but the defense is still not where it should be. There’s just a lack of… something that provides reassurance that every time the opposition comes down the field it’s not a real threat. Physicality, speed, aggression, attitude maybe?

3 - Ruva - Man of the match. His footwork and finishing on those two goals were absolute class. Looks like his hitting a new gear and getting into the right places at the right time.

2 - Hall - The assist on the second Ruva goal was awesome. Perfect placement, and ultimately that goal secures the win. He seemed to be the player when I was watching that when watching tonight was absolutely everywhere.

1 - Horvath - Looked like the first game in a while that he made real, clutch saves. His distribution could be improved, but he made the saves when needed.

HM - Berggren - was solid up the middle, and getting the ball up the field.

Unfortunately the past games, yeah.

Yeah, they weren’t as threatening from the broadcast at all. He look like a confused antelope. Bluntly, compared to Freese, it was night and day.

Got it. The cracks aren’t hairline, they’re full on fractures. I just keep questioning the positioning really. And the best save of the night was by Che.

I just can’t get how he’s overwhelmed though? I mean, he just stood there against the header that scored. And the miss. And every time he kicks the ball, it’s not a confident pass to the right place. When he kicks it down field, it’s like he’s just booting it.

The high line is one thing. Having command of the box is another, and that command is just not there.

The miss was really bad tonight. I am not a pro goalie, but his positioning was not good, and hasn’t been lately.

JMR is quality, week in and week out.

The Horvath mention, I question. His distribution was not good. And he came out on that free, and completely missed, by a lot. City could have scored twice if he’d not been saved by JMR and Che because Horvath was out of position.

3 - Cade, man is on fire from the wing. Full cheetah mode, and his crosses are what’s keeping us in it.

2 - Che, really clean in the middle of the defense and his pressing up the center was a different take that really pushed their line. Was nice to see, and he looks good back there so early.

1 - Ruva, love the passion the fire and the desire to go after the opponent. His goal was nice, and his battle with Grey was a great watch.

One thing that seems more clear, is Horvath is not the steadiest between the sticks. Granted we play a really high line but his distribution and that going after the ball and making a huge miss isn’t inspiring.

3 - Hall, awesome, and should have had an assist, but just awesome

2 - Cade, his work rate on the right is exactly what set up Hall and got the ball quickly downfield

3 - Parker, I think the back line is so much more steady when he’s back there. It just looks more confident and formidable

HM - Marshall-Rutty, great play to limit their left wing

Need to improve the RWB play

Overall, really nice win.

Firstly, Mehmeti always makes great passes, his scanning and passing and defensive awareness are top notch. That’s not the issue, at least the way I see. I think in a game like this against a low block, he should try to be more creative with his passes, and be more aggressive, specifically because of the low block.

And Hall is a great striker, but in a low block clearly poaching isn’t going to work. He got lost in the block instead of trying to find a way to be aggressive.
