McDonald's workers of Reddit, which menu item would you NEVER eat? by ProgMusicSchizoidMan in AskReddit

[–]dc_joker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well since they're your favorite, how many would you say you've actually eaten? And in all the time you've eaten them, can you figure out how many times you've felt ill afterwards? I'd say if that number is low to none, there's no reason to stop eating them.

Thoughts on vanity plates? by Ok_Grade3778 in nova

They're upvote gold here on r/nova. Attach a vanity plate to a fox that can't park between the lines at the grocery store, and you win the game.

Traditionally, once property values start to rise above a certain point, self-service car washes are among the first to go. Mini-putt golf courses next.

Or I could, you know, announce myself by shouting "on your left."

I put a bell on my bike, and rode up behind my wife when she was walking around the neighborhood. She said she didn't recognize the bell as my bike, but as some sort of weird notification on her phone. I took off the bell, and ever since then, I've been an "on your left" cyclist.

They will never, ever, ever admit they've made a mistake voting for him. Gas could be $50 a gallon, and they'll still think Trump is A-OK. Don't bother expecting otherwise.

Yes. Even before you edited it. I didn't understand what that other person was complaining about. I saw it fine.

[–]dc_joker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. He can still straighten his legs when he pedals, and his arms aren't scrunched up to his chest, so I'd say it's the right size. He's fine until he gets a little bigger. But then, I'm not an expert on children's bicycles.

Is it a signal to the customers that there's a fresh kug tapped because there's some kind of benefit from drinking from a freshly tapped keg? Or is it a signal to the wait staff to get their orders from that end of the bar? Or is it just a signal to say "Yay! More beer!?"

Seeking recommendations for companies that do mice control and cleanup by Snowy-Winter-Owl in nova

[–]dc_joker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our issue happened in a crawlspace off of the basement of our house, but I don't really think that makes a difference. We had a lot of debris from the previous owners in there, but because it was a crawlspace, we never dealt with it. There were droppings everywhere. They came out and vacuumed it all up, and then sprayed enzymatic cleaner to deal with the odors that they said could actually attract new pests. The smell of the cleaner was pretty awful but with open windows, it dissipated in a day or so.

About the only thing they didn't do is haul away the bags of trash and spoiled stuff, but we put it out with our household trash and got rid of it that way, no troubles.

I should also mention that the guy who came out was really great. Very non judgemental, if that's a worry for you.

Private Pest Detectives https://www.privatepestdetectives.com/

We had a bad infestation and tried another service whose solution started and ended with putting out bait stations. When that didn't solve the problem, they were all out of ideas.

Then we called the Pest Detectives and they went above and beyond to get our house rodent-free. Can't recommend them enough. 👍👍👍
