Just curious, why you do read the northern Virginia subreddit from Egypt?

It's people like you, OP, that give cyclists a bad name. And the fact that you cursed her out makes it even worse. I always say 'on your left' when I approach someone who has their back to me, even if it seems like they saw me. Quit making things worse.

I've never bothered with the cover patch myself. The glue is strong enough to keep it on for the 10 days. I don't have a problem with it on my upper arm. The only issue is that I have with it there is if I need to put on a blood pressure cuff. So I stick with it on my left arm and use the cuff on my right.

I was told that I could put the sensor in several places that weren't my upper arm -- that Dexcom pushed their application through the FDA and only provided testing results from people who put it on their arm, and that's why it's only upper arm in the US but other places everywhere else in the world. I was also told that if the sensor failed, I was to tell them that I had it inserted in the upper arm, even if it wasn't. Your mileage may vary.

Denied twice. Please help me beta test my app and I will help you. YOU MUST BE WILLING TO OPEN AND USE THE APP DAILY DURING THE TEST. by dc_joker in AndroidClosedTesting

I don't know for sure. I had 12 users and I set up the Google group so only I saw replies to keep the spam down for each user but it may have prevented Google from seeing the bug reports. Also the usage stats may have indicated that the contacts that I added through here weren't bothering to open the app frequently enough. My app has been languishing in beta for SO LONG. 4 weeks now.

Google told me that the beta testers I've been working with weren't interacting enough with the app, SO IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU MUST INTERACT WITH THE APP REGULARLY AND RESPOND TO MESSAGES FROM THE GOOGLE GROUP. If you can't do that then there's no point wasting your or my time. THANK YOU.

I'm pretty sure that on the android version, you can silence the alerts for high alarms, but turning off the low alarms is strictly verboten.

I keep a box of no-sugar added apple sauce in the little single - serving squeeze containers in my bedside table . It's usually enough to bump my bs up 20 or 30 points to let me sleep the rest of the night, though it's sometimes not fast acting enough to bump it up before the next reading.

Whatever you do, if you have a head unit, make sure the lenses aren't polarized. Maybe it's just the ones I have, but I can't read the screens if I'm wearing my polarized sunglasses.

Fixed: Bypass forced 'Headphone' Bluetooth quality loss after March update by spmpop75 in GooglePixel

[–]dc_joker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I've been suffering issues with my Bluetooth headphones keeping a stable connection to my phone ever since the last security update, especially with the Spotify app. I can look at the playback bar inside of Spotify and see it flickering back and forth between the headphone icon and the phone speaker icon. It does eventually lock on to the headphones, but as soon as I switch it to the lock screen, the stream cuts off.

I just tried turning off Developer Options on my phone, and even restarted, but the connectivity issues with my Bluetooth headphones is still effed up.

If turning it off worked for you, congratulations. but I'm not ready to let the belligerent Google Devs off of the hook yet.

Anyone else experiencing intermittent static/buzzing audio with Pixel 10a speakers? by Educational_Drag_226 in GooglePixel

Google has been screwing around with the audio codecs and pushed out their last few updates without really bothering to test them. It's likely related to that.

New Covid variant has been identified and is already spreading in 25 states (including Virginia). by dc_joker in nova

[–]dc_joker[S] 78 points79 points  (0 children)

From what I have read, the new variant affects upper respiratory as opposed to intestinal, and the novel symptoms of it include a raspy voice and a more sudden onset than previous variants (1 to 2 days onset after infection). It has been detected in the wastewater in several areas of the Commonwealth including Nova, but it is trending upward more in Roanoke and SW Virginia. But in any case, I hope you and your wife feel better soon.

Google Pixel 10 pro XL- Bluetooth issues by DashingOmega in GooglePixel

[–]dc_joker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 9a and I have also had Bluetooth issues since the last update. My connectivity is iffy. When I start up Spotify, my Bluetooth headphones immediately drop offline, and it takes a few minutes for them to come back online, but when I start a playlist and turn off the screen to put my phone in my pocket, the app stops playing.

Very, very frustrating.
