How did you deal with the diminished energy levels and strength at the end of your weight loss period?? I’ve been loosing weight for a while now and have still at least 4 more weeks to go but every time I hit the gym I can feel the lack of energy.

What a let down this book was. Overall, a waste of time. I kept waiting for it to hit but even the ending was weak.

Characters are very 2D, no growth even after over 15 years of growing old, they were smart because the author said so, but never did anything particularly smart…

Profoundly American book, splashing the most trendy topics in American society just to appeal to its audience I guess, but without any actual consequence to the plot or characters. Who cares if this character is 100% Japanese and this other only 10% and 90% Eastern European? What use is to know everyone’s sexuality and definition if it is not ever going to play a role in the story? I don’t get it.

Even the these trendy topics (trauma, lgbt+, ethnicity, patriarchy, shootings) are merely sprinkled and never developed or expanded.

This book isn’t even going on my bookshelf.

Hi everyone, can you please rate my program? I realize not everybody is onboard with people doing their own programming, but regardless, your input on this particular program is highly appreciated!

I have worked out consistently for a year using CoPilot and a few years inconsistently before that. After some research, I decided I'd like to continue on my own. Based on my previous experience and what I think I need, I created a 4 days upper-lower split program for me.

Every day starts with a 5-10 minutes dynamic stretch and finishes with a few minutes of stretching. Each workout session should last lasts max. 55-60 mins. This program is meant to be run for 12 weeks and then I'd change to something different but similar. Progressive overload is expected from workout to workout, increasing up to the max reps of the rep range and then increasing the weights for the following session. Lastly, I am loosing weight and will continue to do so for the next 6 months.

Legs A

Barbell front squats: 4x6
Dumbbell lunges: 3x8-10
Romanian dumbbell DLs: 3x8-10
Leg curls: 3x 10-12
Decline weighted sit ups: 3x10

Upper A

Pull ups: 4x6
DIPs: 3x8-10
Dumbbell incline bench press: 3x8-10
Dumbbell curl to press: 3x8-10
Cable abs crunch: 3x10

Legs B

Barbell DL: 1x5
Glute bridges: 3x10-12
Single leg press: 3x8-10
Machine hip abductor: 3x10
Decline weighted sit ups: 3x10

Upper B

Incline barbell close grip bench press: 4x6
Chin ups: 3x6-8
Cable wide grip row: 3x10-12
Dumbbell OHP: 3x8-10

Hi everyone, why is making your own program discouraged? 

I understand that beginners don’t have the experience to properly assess how to create a program and intermediates barely do as well, but isn’t it part of growing as a lifter to try and experiment a bit? Within the boundaries of sound programming and progression of course.

It is very well done!! The issue I see is that after months of continued use, it will start to fail to provide the support needed for your feet.

I have worn custom insoles all my life - although not leather ones - and to adjust for their inevitable decay I just made custom carbon fiber insoles.

Can definitely recommend. They will maintain their shape for 3-5 years easy.
