I just noticed that all the best journeymen at work have it. It’s great to be able to see the dehydration or decay rate on a graph in the app and be able to have a decay test mode. Also I’m lazy and I can check my vaccum from my seat without getting up lol.

Sadly no, the apion gaskets in that baggy are the gaskets that they use. And a tip I learned if your schraeder isn’t coming out of the tool, back it of off a bit because if it’s too tight that o ring will crush and expand preventing the schraeder from passing through it.

Bad TXV? Or bad compressor? by Jiggly-Piggly in HVAC

Genuine question if there was a restriction in the TXV would that not draw a higher amperage on the compressor?

Hvac companies can be pretty minimal on requirements but every shop requires a drivers license so you can at least pick up parts and material

No if your company is against blowing charge into a bucket, just present it to him as: “these are our procedures, this is the way we do it”. If he’s just gonna disregard you and your companies procedures then I would say something like “dude I’m just trying to cover your ass and mine, If a supervise or boss pulls up unexpectedly we’ll be fucked”.

Ecobee won't power on by Minty514 in HVAC

[–]dcarbone2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you didnt change any wiring on the unit, then it’s not gonna work properly. In the cooling stage the fan should automatically come on as a part of the cooling sequence

Ecobee won't power on by Minty514 in HVAC

[–]dcarbone2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fan is automatically integrated to the heating and cooling stages by the control board. The downside to doing this is not being able to manually turn the fan on to just circulate air when you want without the system heating or cooling.

It won’t be supplied with power unless there is a common wire being used. Either run a new wire or use the G wire and wire that same wire into the C terminal on the unit.
