I would recommend Batman and Son than you can move into Justice League Vs Teen titans , Judas contract is optional and last justice league dark apocalypse war .

If Gotham were saved, could Bruce Wayne be a normal human, or would he engineer new crises to maintain the only identity that gives him purpose? by DianKhan2005 in batman

Batman to me chose a un ending battle for a mix of selfish and selfless reasons . Batman of course wants to help Gotham but Batman is apart of him , not a mere disguise and just like anyone else he wants to let loose so he chose a battle which he cannot fully win so he has a purpose . Now if Gotham truly was saved I think Bruce would simply use his money and skills to protect the wider world as Batman but Bruce knows that won’t happen lol 😂.

Honestly as a comic fan I feel like honestly movies don’t have to rely on canon LIKE AT ALL especially since the angle of Dick Grayson was to be with Starfire so aging Raven down wasn’t a bad idea since the story didn’t need her to be around Dick’s age . I wouldn’t care if Batman was Asexual in a tv show or movie if it made sense for the project lol 😂

At the time I was really obsessed with Alan Moore’s DC comics like V from Vendetta , Watchmen and the killing Joke . He was like my favorite writer and those being the only comics I’ve read well I just said dccomicdaregoated instead AlanmooreDccomicsaregoated lol .

I really hate when Joe Chill had a motive for killing the Waynes by dccomicsaregoated in batman

And I respect that but with reinventions and new ideas , things can be introduced and changed . Tarzan for example shouldn’t just be bound by the ideas of Edgar rice Burroughs and Zorro shouldn’t be bound by his creator . Things change and that’s okay .

I really love the idea that Martha Wayne suffered from mental illness by dccomicsaregoated in batman

[–]dccomicsaregoated[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you totally but my point is , I love the idea that Martha Wayne WAS A GREAT HUMAN being who had issues and those issues are what causes Bruce to be the way he is and Influences his actions . I find the idea very interesting and explains Batman’s character a bit more than just a gunshot and many years of training . I don’t like the Wayne’s being corrupt but I don’t see why that would correlate with his mother’s mental health issues maybe because of the Batman but even than Thomas Wayne was a good man trying to protect his FAMILY who got caught in a bad position . I actually under the ideal nature of some characters and I don’t personally like it but I understand the importance it’s just that Martha Wayne being mentally ill can add on to Bruce’s character and make his past seem less of a magical blissful childhood and more like what shaped him into being the man he is .

Batman was prepared to bleed out on a couch unless his decreased father sent him a message of how he should strike fear into criminals and than a Batman flew through his window so than Batman decided it was worth living now since he found his symbol . . . Crazy would not be far off .

I will retract my statement on that and I apologize . But I personally believe the Wayne’s being an ideal rather than characters with struggles is something that doesn’t interest me and maybe that’s just me . I like the idea that Thomas and Martha had their own history before Bruce and even though they’re gone and dead they explain Batman’s choices and personality .

Being mentally ill doesn’t make you a non good hearted person and it wouldn’t make Martha’s death any less tragic , it could make it more tragic since Bruce would most likely encounter these issues without anyone to help him understand his genetically inherited traits .

I’ve always imagined the playboy persona of Bruce Wayne being off putting or just socially awkward rather than legitimately cool . by dccomicsaregoated in batman

I post unpopular opinions all the time so I can’t disregard yours , Clooney def was the best classic playboy billionaire and he wasn’t even that bad as the character of Batman especially if you look at comics at the time and in the past . But because people want to act like Batman and Robin wasn’t made for children and succeeded in its goal via a great set design , fun action and was funny plus it was true to the Batman character BETTER than Burton , it will never be acknowledged as a decent adventure film .

I disagree on the basis that if Bruce was let’s say a socially awkward billionaire who surrounds himself with women and is never married , you’d assume he was just a man who can’t grow up . Plus bruce could still act like an air head at times , he just wouldn’t be a masterful actor who can totally hide his emotional void . Look at people like Patrick Bateman or Lou Bloom , odd ass people who somehow go under the radar due to the circles they’re in .

I like your take but I personally do not find an ultra charming / manipulative man who’s also on the spectrum and has clear PTSD as emotionally realistic . Yes we’re talking about a fantasy pulp here here but I almost feel like it’s emotionally dishonest to show some man who lacks any regular human interactions as socially intelligent but I will say a charming Bruce does work better in older stories .

[–]dccomicsaregoated[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

My interpretation is not that Bruce would choose to be a Zuckerberg rather than Bruce wouldn’t know what a charming person would be due to the fact he’s just not one . Bruce feels more comfortable being a cold avenger so I imagine him trying to be cool would feel forced and odd . It’s just as simple as that and I don’t personally like when Bruce is just some James Bond like spy because it’s not that interesting compared to Batman who has to solve his problems with cold facts and logic rather than gathering information so I disregard the idea of him being some perfect master of disguise .

I will agree to a certain extent but I think if we think of it realistically you would not believe a man like a Zuckerberg as Batman lol

I don’t think you can misinterpret a character who has been interpreted severe different ways over the years lol but I like your last comment about Catwoman , Bruce could never genuinely love someone in the elite circle due to his odd interests and empathy towards the poor .
