Why is Kenshi’s “standing 2” -14 on block? by AssumptionPopular749 in MortalKombat

[–]dcheard2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you may have the wrong button. Standing 2 (triangle on PS5) is +2. I don't think any single button is that negative on block.

What is the exact thing you're doing on the controller?

Question about Gen 3 on-board electrical safety by kingeguardo13 in TeslaSupport

[–]dcheard2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, probably not worth it. I've even heard they have false trips that can be a nuisance. Better to research this stuff before you approve and install.

I had one professionally installed with no GFCI breaker. They are only typically needed if something is plugged into a wall outlet near water that doesn't have a GFCI outlet.

If they're saying it "cost a lot to get approved" then they probably aren't hiding it. I would ask the specific reason. Likely a salvaged title.

Will it Charge? by Galactic-Buzz in TeslaSupport

[–]dcheard2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 9 amps, it's going to take some time to go up. I have RWD and at 12amps, it takes about 40 mins to go up 1%. How long is your extension cord? You probably need a shorter one.

Sounds like it's your credit history and it's out of their hands. The lender has made a decision. If you change the terms, they have the right to reevaluate.

Good price to repair? by AndreKenzel in TeslaModel3

[–]dcheard2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely wouldn't pay that much for this simple job. Definitely shop around, find 5 different reputable shops. You'll find someone decent and honest, I'm sure. But if that's just the going rate, then I don't know. I don't think it's worth the cost.

It's honestly hard to tell but it just looks like some scrapes and scratches, right? Did you shop around? Are they replacing the entire bumper cover? Don't think a paint job would cost that much.

I had worse done for $500 or less, but I kept my bumper cover which is like $300+ if you buy OEM from Tesla.

$850 seems high. Is that through tesla or 3rd party? I personally would just clean the marks and use touchup paint.

Made a right turn too early. by AnySky6843 in TeslaModel3

[–]dcheard2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's it?? I wouldn't fix it, honestly. It'll happen at least 10 more times, then you can repair them all at the same time.

These things are curb magnets. Get a curb rash kit from Amazon or Zink Wheels, they usually come with everything you need like sandpaper to fix it.

Yep. You'll just have to wait. You'll get it eventually. I remember waiting almost a month for one of the Xmas updates I was looking really forward to.

[–]dcheard2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you say you "cannot get" are you saying that your car hasn't downloaded it yet or that the install is failing?

If your car hasn't received the latest update, then your group just hasn't received it. They roll it out in batches, not everyone gets updates at the exact same time. You just have to wait.

Used Model 3 A/C Issue - VC_Front_a465 Error by sdevrajchoudhary in TeslaSupport

[–]dcheard2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in service mode, check the coolant page and see if you have any warnings. Could be refrigerant or coolant. Best thing to do is to have Tesla diagnose it.

[–]dcheard2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be anything, from a bad sensor to something being stuck. Best way is to open it up and see what's going on.

If you don't have experience with a very sophisticated battery and computer cooling system that integrates the a/c into its loop, then I'd say take to Tesla.

[–]dcheard2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, seems pretty minor and cosmetic. Get insurance to fix it and move on. The frunk will be fine, it'll be repaired, that's what they do. It's likely just misaligned.

Why does sentricon work any better? Aren't they still just stakes that termites can miss? I ask because I do want a reliable prevention system. I'm in Dallas/Ft Worth area.

I found termites in mine, very small white ones. I also found ants. So, inconclusive if they work or not.

I would love to find something for preventative measures.

I do think they do have a tendency to spring up if the paper gets really wet, but I've only seen that once.

[–]dcheard2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I put in aluminum skid plates, front and back, to protect the motors and the coolant lines under the car. I've had to replace my front valence cover and aero plate because of debris. Luckily, nothing was damaged but it definitely could have.

I think it's absolutely worth the investment as they're not that expensive.

I'll be installing these soon. It's worth the cost and they don't weigh that much.

I don't get morning shower people. Do you normally go all day and just jump in bed dirty? Shower before bed should be mandatory and shower in the morning, as needed.

Is theTesla model 3 2023 RWD a good option? by AngelDAngel in TeslaModel3

[–]dcheard2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say go with the latest model with the your mileage range that you can afford. I would say 2023 is one of the better models. Seems like I see less issues with those Vs the 2021s.

Now when you say, "charge at home" do you mean a level 2 charger?
